It was without a doubt the most incredible film I’ve ever seen.
Ever.
I’m not one to exaggerate, either – it really was that brilliant.
Baz Luhrmann is a visionary, and he presented the contradiction between Gatsby’s ostentatious lifestyle and the real emptiness at the foundation of all his huge parties because of Daisy. He managed to show us everything Gatsby was and ever hoped to be – an extremely difficult task considering how complex Gatsby is.

Casted perfectly, costumed perfectly, filmed perfectly, with the perfect soundtrack.

I was awestruck.
