Next time, try using a turkey baking bag (no basting needed). If you buy a turkey with a pop-up timer already in the turkey, that eliminates guess work. You can always go to butterball.com for turkey advice too. The only turkey disaster I had was carving the turkey with a very sharp knife in an aluminum throw away roaster on the stove. HUGE MESS!!
