Sometimes it’s easy to forget the real reason why Miley Cyrus is famous – because she’s a singer. Between her role on Hannah Montana, all of the controversial things she does, her young engagement and the uproar over her haircut, it seems like people are constantly talking about everything except her singing abilities. But in her newest Backyard Sessions video, Miley proves once again that she can definitely hold her own as a singer. In the second video of the series, she covers Melanie Safka’s “Look What They’ve Done To My Song”. Her voice sounds great and I think this is pretty refreshing. It’s nice to see a music video focus solely on the song being sung rather than just a ridiculous and entertaining performance:
