Brrr…it’s cold outside. You need a hat, there’s no doubt about that. But, sometimes a super cute hat is hard to find. And when you do find it, mega expensive. Well, Jamie to the rescue yet again. All you need is a cheap, plain hat and she’ll show you how to cute it up for just a few extra bucks by needle felting. Needle felting? Well, you’ll have to watch to find out what it is.

why don’t you just cut out a heart from felt and use some iron on adhesive or sew around the edges by hand, either one of these would last longer and look more professional, not to mention, when would you ever use those multi needle gadgets again?…waste of money and time

A heart on a hat is only one example of needle felting… you can do this on so many types of materials and with so many colors and shapes. A lot of crafting is the joy of creating something from scratch — your *own*, handmade felt… not anything pre-made. You’d use the gadgets every time you needle felted, of course. This was also a very simple lesson, for beginners: needle felting can become much more complex and professional-looking. Very much so worth the effort, and extremely easy to do!
