Titanic always has been, and always will be, one of my favorite movies. What can I say? I’m a sucker for a good love story, a tragic ending and Leonardo DiCaprio. But the thing that’s always bothered me about the movie is the fact that Jack died because Rose just couldn’t move her butt over and share that piece of wood with him. I mean, come on, Rose! Didn’t you ever learn about taking turns?! I know I’m not the only who screams about this to no one while the movie is ending and Jack is dying his icy death. And now, Mythbusters has proven that he could have fit on that raft and survived. Damn you, James Cameron. Damn you.

If you remember, in the movie he tried to get on, but when he did it started to tip over because of the uneven weight distribution. What this Mythbusters doesn’t account for is the freezing cold Atlantic temperatures which cause the body to be much more shaky and unstable, making nearly impossible for Jack to climb up in a way that wouldn’t tip Rose back in (they were freezing, panicked, and a whole bunch of other factors that don’t apply to the Mythbusters)
