So what’s happening here? One guy goes on a quest to find out if Taylor Swift song lyrics can double as pick-up lines, since he says he has a difficult time talking to girls. It’s kind of hard to believe that a dude this adorable has trouble meeting ladies – I mean, I developed a little crush just 10 seconds into the video.

The best thing about this isn’t finding out if Taylor’s lyrics are good pick-up lines – I mean, it’s obvious that they’re kind of not. Sure, they sound sweet and romantic and all lovey-dovey in her songs, but when they’re spoken in real life, they’re just kind of… creepy and weird. And maybe a little stalkerish. No, the best part of this video is watching this cute guy deliver her lyrics in the most awkward and adorable way possible. My favorite parts are when he messes up the lines or just gets totally embarrassed and runs away saying, “Sorry! Never mind!” I mean, where are guys like this in the real world? Why haven’t I ever met someone who’s willing to embarrass themselves with their knowledge of Taylor Swift songs in order to impress me? More importantly, how is this guy making me want that when I don’t even like T. Swift?

So, in the end, I guess her lyrics would sort of work as a way to get a conversation going – as long as they’re said by a guy this cute and earnest, and not someone who’s just being weird.
