With Father’s Day coming up, we thought it would be a great idea to list some of our favorite dads from TV and movies. Of course, we don’t have enough room for all of the great dads, but consider the ones who didn’t make the list as honorable mentions.

Marlin from Finding Nemo

Marlon swam the entire sea for Nemo, and I’m pretty sure this scene left me in tears when I saw it in theatres. This scene really doesn’t get old.

Uncle Phil from Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is one of my all time favorite sitcoms, and Uncle Phil is probably my favorite dad (next to my own, that is). He supplied his nephew Will with a lot of tough love, but he was always there for him when push came to shove.

Danny Tanner from Full House

I’m pretty sure that there was a touching moment between Danny Tanner and his daughters at the end of every episode of Full House. Sure, they were usually pretty cheesy but it was always the best kind of cheese.

Phil Dunphy from Modern Family

Dads who think they’re cool usually aren’t, and Phil is no exception. But he’s still one of our faves.

Sam McGuire from Lizzie McGuire

Sam McGuire dad was always pretty goofy and aloof, but that never detracted him from showing some serious love and support for his kids.

Sandy Cohen from The OC

A modern classic, the OC’s Seth Cohen is probably one of the most down to earth lawyers that I’ve ever seen. Come on, he’d have to be to take in a trouble-making kid and treat him as his own.

Red Forman from That 70s Show

Red Foreman doesn’t exactly come across as a caring father about 99.9% of the time, but in the end his strictness stems from some serious love for his kids. And hey, at least he told his son that he loved him that one time…

Sandy Koufax from Big Daddy

For some strange reason, I was obsessed with this movie as a kid. While Adam Sandler’s dysfunctional time as a temporary dad was funny and heartwarming, the most important lesson that I took away from this film was a little trick about bent cans.

Coach Taylor from Friday Night Lights

Nothing destroys me faster than big ol’ super manly men have heart to hearts with their daughters. Moments between Coach Taylor and his daughter Julie are perfect examples of this. My heart!

Cliff Huxtable from The Cosby Show

You probably don’t remember Leighton on 7th Heaven, but it was one of her first on-screen appearances. Her very first on-screen role was in Law & Order, but this is more interesting.

This is basically the opposite of the role Lucy now plays on Pretty Little Liars and I’m obsessed with it. It looks like obvi is her favorite word and tanning was her favorite pastime. I also couldn’t be happier that her voice is so different now.

I literally gasped out loud when I realized that Chris once had a role on this show. I don’t even remember this at all – but judging from this clip, I’d say it’s a good thing he didn’t stick with acting.

Get ready to get your Katniss Everdeen on–a real life version of The Hunger Games is going down!

A new TV show called The Hunt is inspired by The Hunger Games, but thankfully you won’t have to kill anyone if you’re selected. You will, however, have to capture them.

Here’s the skinny: Participants in the show will be left in the wilderness with no food, water nor shelter (this means I’d be totally toast because I loves me some indoor plumbing and cookies). There will be teams who have to capture one another, and whichever team survives without being caught wins.

Another difference from The Hunger Games? The Hunt doesn’t use children or teens like the horrific kill-or-be-killed fictional competition. Instead, the teams will be comprised of pairs between 18 and 35 years old who need a “compelling backstory” to be chosen and compete for the big cash prize at the end. That means sob stories and drama–and good TV.

The Hunt is already facing criticism though, because The Hunger Games was sort of based on a satire of the brutality and banality of reality TV. Think of this show, which will air on The CW this summer, as Survivor with teams–or as the creators put it, “a steroid-infused game of hide-and -seek.”

Let’s just hope there’s no ‘roid rage.

Is there a Saved by the Bell reunion happening any time soon? For the love of Belding, we hope so!

There have been reboots of other classic 90′s shows like Melrose Place (okay, so that didn’t last long) and 90210–and now a Boy Meets World reboot is in the works, too. So naturally, everyone started looking at Mark-Paul Gosselaar’s Zack Morris and being like, “Get your giant cellphone and call your castmates to meet at The Max again!”

Let’s be real: Other than Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Mario Lopez, who played A.C. Slater, it’s not like the cast is busy. Lark Voorhies, Tiffani Thiessen (who back then was Tiffani Amber Thiessen) and Elizabeth Berkley aren’t doing much. Dustin Diamond occasionally does porn and pisses people off on reality shows. If nothing else, it would serve to just keep Screech out of trouble.

The gang first reunited in a 2009 photo shoot, but Dustin Diamond, who played Screech, wasn’t invited because he was regarded as bad news. Right after the photos came out, he released a book talking about all kinds of behind-the-scenes Saved by the Bell dirt, and as a result, the bulk of the cast shunned him. (So much for “Friends Forever,” right?) A while later, some of the cast members gave their voices to Robot Chicken for a stop-motion animation reunion, but dude, we want the real thing.

Mark-Paul Gosselaar has said he’s totally down for a Bayside High get-together, telling TMZ, “Maybe we’ll do a reunion as well.”

Who else is game? Mr. Belding. Dennis Haskens, who played the long-suffering principal on the show, was super enthusiastic about it. ”I have always supported a reunion of any kind, including all of us,” he said. “Honestly, the fans still love us and our show so much; they deserve it!”

Someone call Miss Bliss, Tori, Stacey Carosi (Leah Remini), the nerds and the twins and make this happen. We’re so excited!

Jay Leno may be retiring from The Tonight Show, and there’s been a ton of talk lately about who may or may not replace him. So far the front runner appears to be Jimmy Fallon, who we absolutely love. But why not any funny ladies in Leno’s seat?

We’ve rounded up some of our favorite hilarious femmes who we think could easily do as well, if not better, that the most famous chin in America. And believe us, there were a lot to pick from, and it was hard to narrow this list down. Our criteria to do so: Not only should she be funny, but she should be inspiring and a cheerleader for the rest of us–and obviously, she’d have to be able to be clean enough for network TV!

If anyone ever uses the whole “women aren’t funny” argument around you, feel free to whip out YouTube clips of these hysterical gals to shut them up immediately. Though she’s outspoken (she’s badmouthed Jay Leno himself, and we’re not a fan of the body shaming she occasionally does on Fashion Police), she’s necessary. She’s refreshing. And heck, she’s earned it.

This is as scary as The Walking Dead bikini calendar gets. WTF is the point? | Source: YouTube

Full disclosure: I’m a pretty rabid fan of The Walking Dead. I read the comics and kept up with all the zombies religiously. You know how it comes on twice in a row? I watch it twice in a row, then cozy up for Talking Dead right after. I live-tweet it. I turn off my phone when it’s on. I analyze the writing with pals. I have the board game. I want to own a katana. I always fill my gas tank in case of an outbreak of zombies. I trained myself to run faster; I have superior aim and survival skills. Now that it’s on a mid-season hiatus until February, I’m more than content to hibernate through Christmas and New Year’s until then–since I know there’s no threat of zombies attacking.

That said, when I heard there was a Walking Dead themed bikini calendar, even though I’m a straight chick, I figured it’d be pretty interesting. I pictured zombies in bikinis, basically, which would be sort of creepy and hilarious at the same time–think the bicycle chick in swimwear.

Except it’s none of those things at all.

In a behind-the-scenes look at the bikini calendar’s creation, it’s just a bunch of regular bikini calendar shots–except the girls have flesh wounds. They’re not “walkers” (as the zombies are called in the show), they’re not survivors–they’ve clearly been bitten, so they wouldn’t survive for long. They’re just scantily clad and bleeding. Does anyone else see an issue with this?

There are no zombies in sight at all in the calendar, nor are there camps, weapons, storage, ragtag militias. There’s just bloody girls in bikinis, lying around in no apparent agony. Where are all the walkers who bit them? Why do they look so calm? They’re on the beach–can zombies swim? If not, why aren’t there shots of them fashioning a raft, luring them to the ocean with a 20-piece box of chicken nuggets, and then racing back to land to grab crossbows? How did they get rug burn from sand? SO. MANY. QUESTIONS.

Most importantly, where are Michonne and Daryl Dixon in all this? If we want to talk about sexy ass kicking scenes with zombies, you can’t beat these two fan favorites. But you can definitely beat this calendar. Seriously. It’s more useless than Lori Grimes in season 2.

How will we survive the zombie apocalypse without these?!

Here are the top five (fictional) guys I’d date if given the chance . . . shhh, don’t tell my boyfriend!

1. Smith Jerrod, Sex and The City
Just to point out the obvious, this guy is THE SEX. He has got to be the hottest guy any of the “Core Four” ever dated. I mean really, Harry and Mr. Big? What are you gals thinking? Anyways, the best part is that he isn’t just hot. He is so devoted to the previously promiscuous Samantha that he SHAVES HIS HEAD FOR HER when she has cancer! I know I wasn’t the only one happy crying during that episode. The fact that he was able to lock down the legendary sexaholic speaks volumes about him in more ways that one. Also, with his hot actor name and his sexy as hell Absolut campaign, we can easily forget that he used to be a waiter named Jerry.

2. Hercules, Disney’s Hercules
Let’s just start out with the HE’S A GOD factor when it comes to Hercules. He has super human strength, and a super human capacity for L-O-V-E. This dude tops the charts when it comes to doing what it takes to woo the woman he loves. Like, really, first he rescued Meg from the evil centaur Nessus and then he saved the entire universe from the villainous (but hysterical) Hades. He sings, he rides Pegasus, he went from Zero to Hero and offered his soul in exchange for freeing his gal from the River Styx—seriously, what DOESN’T this guy do? Plus, if you are his girlfriend, you get to live at Mt. Olympus. Win.

3. Patrick Verona, 10 Things I Hate About You
One long look into the deep hazel eyes of Patrick Verona makes us forget that this guy only started dating Kat as part of a shady, money-making scam. Put aside the rumors of his jail sentence and focus on the unforgettable scene where this bad ass Aussie sings “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You” to his main squeeze while dancing/running from cops on the school bleachers. He is amazingly sexy, upfront with his feelings and an all around cool guy. Also he is Heath Ledger so . . . yeah. I mean really, who wouldn’t flash a teacher to get Patty V. out of detention??

4. Peeta Mellark, The Hunger Games
Hey girl, you like bread? Peeta’s got all of the hot (and purposely burned) bakery bread that you could ask for when you’re starving and sitting in the rain. He is handsome as hell and willing to sacrifice it all for the girl of his dreams. Unfortunately for us, that girl is Katniss Everdeen, but hey, we can still dream! Besides the fact that he was willing to die to let Katniss win the Hunger Games, he also can throw heavy bags of sand, he can paint like a pro, and he shines like a star when he’s in the spotlight. All I can say is that I’d take bread from Peeta any day.

5. Noah Calhoun, The Notebook (Duh)
Whether you like him young, optimistic and clean-shaven, or in his depressed, mountain-man days–Noah is inarguably one of the sexiest and greatest fictional boyfriends to ever exist in the pages of a book or on a television screen. I mean really, what else do you want? This guy’s main ambition in life is to build you a perfect lakeside mansion so that you can paint sans clothing on any balcony that you like. Not to mention, he is hard-working and the Master of the grand gesture. From hanging off a Ferris wheel, to lying in the middle of the street, to writing 365 letters before Gmail . . . all I can say is WHERE ARE THE MEN LIKE THIS HIDDEN?
