I never thought I would be taking sex advice from Taylor Swift, but I learned something really important from her today. Obviously Taylor has dated a lot of guys. Four albums worth to be exact. Homegirl falls in and out of love faster than I eat an entire pack or Oreos, which is like really fast.

Since her very public breakup with her very public boyfriend, Harry Styles, everyone’s been trying to figure out why it ended. Well, one insider is saying Harry ended it because Taylor’s a prude. To sum it up, Harry apparently finds the popstar “sexually uninteresting.”

My favorite part: “What she doesn’t get is that the guys keep dumping her because she’s being a prude.”

I have to sound off here. I’m not Taylor’s biggest fan in the world, but after reading this article I’m pretty ticked.

A person’s sex life is nobody’s business, celebrity or not. Taylor can have sex or not have sex with all of her boyfriends, and it shouldn’t matter. We get upset about slut-shaming all the time, but we should be getting upset about prude-shaming too, which is exactly what’s happening here.

It seems us girls can’t win either way. If we have sex with a number of people, we’re sluts. If we don’t have sex with anyone, we’re prudes. Where does it end?

If you are comfortable with the choices you’re making in your sex life, that’s all that matters. You are your own judge here, not anyone else. If you want to have sex, great (be safe!). If you don’t want to have sex, great. It’s up to you, and you should never let someone–your boyfriend, your friends or even Harry Styles–dictate how to handle your life.

If you’re with a guy and you feel pressured, speak up. You’re allowed to say no to anything you don’t want to do. It doesn’t make you a prude to say no.

I was in a pretty grumpy mood the past few days, but the cloud has been lifted: Taylor Swift and Harry Styles finally broke up.

No reason has been given or revealed for the split, but I have some insider info on the Taylor Swift and Harry Styles breakup: it was over me. And now Harry and I can finally quit the facades we’ve been putting up and be together.

The duo apparently called it quits during a vacation in the British Virgin Isles, and I couldn’t be more overjoyed. It’s only a matter of time now until my green-eyed prince comes for me, and when he does, he’ll even be tan!

The truth is, Harry Styles and I have been in love for a while. Sure, we each had our dalliances with others–me with douchebags disguised as nice guys and him with the biggest pop star on the planet right now–but it was all just biding our time, you know? Because we’re meant.

He’s English. I love English breakfast tea. He sings “Live While We’re Young.” I’m clinging onto the remnants of my own youth the way Taylor Swift does to most of the guys she dates. We both have natural curls. We both have tattoos. He looks good with his shirt off. I am no slouch in that department, either. He loves to party, I love to lurk in the kitchen and wait for parties to be over. He used to work in a bakery, I love to bake (and to eat cake). He introduced Louis Tomlinson and Eleanor Calder, I play matchmaker for my pals so I can live vicariously through them. He travels a lot, I don’t mind airplane food. He’s sensitive. I sometimes have sensitive teeth if I drink something too cold. Can’t you see? This is destiny.

Sorry, Taylor Swift, but this is how it’s meant to be. I give you full license to use my name in your upcoming hits “One (Wrong) Thing,” “Not My Styles,” and “Wrong Direction.” Just please don’t tell anyone where I live.

First, since you’re playing up your lips, keep your eye makeup simple–no bright or bold eye shadows! Then, use a nude-colored lip liner to keep your lipstick from bleeding outside the lines. Finally, take your time when you put it on. Do not attempt to put on red lipstick on the bus, on the way to school, or while you’re walking down the street. It will look like a hot mess!

Once your lipstick is on, blot it once with the back of your hand to keep it from smudging on other stuff. Voila! You’ve got perfect red lips!

Niall Horan and Selena Gomez are rumored to want to have some One Direction double dates with Harry Styles and Taylor Swift–but it could get messy! | Source: WENN

Double dates can be a really fun away to let loose with pals and spend time with your boo at the same time. And with busy schedules like the ones Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez and the guys in One Direction are dealing with, it’s not that surprising that Taylor would be stoked to double date with Harry Styles and her BFF Sel. The “Love You Like a Love Song” starlet is reportedly eyeing Niall Horan now that’s she’s split from Justin Bieber. Rumor has it that she and Taylor are trying to set it up!

But they should all be careful of the drama that can come with double dates, especially when there are zillions of cameras around–and when one half of you are an established couple and the other are just getting to know one another for the first time. Here’s our advice to Selena, Niall, Harry, and Taylor–and to you–on what may happen when a double date gets awkward or weird and how to deal.

1. You may spend more time chatting up your bestie than your boyfriend, and he could get jealous.
Let’s be real. As awesome as your guy is, you probably have at least a bit of an easier time talking with your friends, right? You have more inside jokes, less of a filter, and they totally get you. As a result, it’s easy for your dude to feel left behind, especially if he’s never met or isn’t close with your BFF’s BF. A good bet is to try to stay on topics that you all have an opinion on (Anchorman 2) rather than inside stories (like how Carly’s hair looked so weird at her Sweet 16).

2. Your best friend and your boyfriend might not get along.
This is pretty common in part because of scenario 1–everyone loves you so much that they don’t want to share you! A good bet? Talk both of them up to other. Let your boyfriend know how awesome your friend is at Guitar Hero, and let your BFF know how great your boyfriend was at tutoring you in chem. Considering they both love you, that’s something they have in common, and they’ll be stoked that the other is so good to you.

3. You may feel pressured to move faster if the other couple is too hands-on with each other.
If you’re all at the movies and they’re making out and rounding second–awkward! PDA in general is weird, but it’s especially uncomfortable if, like Selena Gomez and Niall Horan, you’re just getting to know each other in the presence of Harry Styles and Taylor Swift, who openly make out in restaurants. A safe bet? You can try letting your pal know before you leave to go out that you don’t want to be put in that kind of situation. If it’s already too late? Try making a joke about it (“Hey, looks like they’ve met before!”) and change the subject. Hopefully they get the hint, and if not, feel free to step out for air!

4. There may be issues with who foots the bill.
When you’re in One Direction or as loaded as Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift are, it doesn’t really matter who pays. But most of us aren’t. If you’re going on a double date and don’t want to be stuck splitting the cost for your friend who ordered a steak when all you had was a milkshake, ask the waiter or waitress for separate checks as soon as you sit down. Your guy may offer to foot yours too, which is nice–but don’t always bank on it. Bring enough to cash to cover your share just in case!

5. What if you’re having a miserable time and don’t like your date?
For the sake of your friendship, try to stick it out at least until the movie or meal is done. And don’t badmouth the guy afterward, because it will get back to him and cause more drama later!

Taylor Swift dating 13 guys in three years seems farfetched–and certainly doesn’t make her a slut. | Source: WENN

Taylor Swift has had a tumultuous and often public love life, and now she’s starting to get some unwarranted heat for it. A certain entertainment news correspondent tried to slut shame Taylor Swift over Twitter recently, and while we won’t validate this guy by linking you to his post or telling you who he is, we’ll sum it up: He compared Miley Cyrus‘ somewhat rebellious, loose reputation with Taylor Swift’s wholesome, All-American girl through their love lives. He pointed out that Miley’s been dating and is now engaged to the same guy for three years (the gorgeous Liam Hemsworth). He then pointed out that the Taylor Swift dating life that she’s so notorious for: a rumored 13 guys in the same three years.

Here’s why that’s a problem.

First of all, it’s no one’s business who anyone else has sex with. But since he’s making every effort to make it his business, we should point out that Taylor Swift probably hasn’t actually dated every single guy she’s been linked to in the press–where would she find the time? And even if Taylor Swift dated these dudes, that doesn’t mean she was sleeping with them (not that it would make a difference either way).

Of course, this all comes with a bit of irony. Taylor Swift herself was rumored to be slut shaming actress Camilla Belle in her lyrics to “Better Than Revenge,” rumored to be about ex Joe Jonas. She sings, “She’s an actress / But she’s better known for the things that she does on the mattress.” Not nice, Swifty! Hopefully she knows better now about how damaging that attitude is. Slut shaming in general is a way to keep women down–and when women do it to one another, it stunts our progress and growth twice as much. It’s just as bad as imaginary celeb feuds.

Having sex doesn’t make someone a slut, no matter how often she has it nor with however many lucky guys she as sex with. The only thing that creates a slut is a misogynist attitude and unwarranted judgment from others. Period.

The fact is, Taylor Swift, Camilla Belle, and Miley Cyrus are all adults and their sex lives are their own business. As long as they’re all happy, safe, and consenting, who cares what they’re doing and who they’re doing it with?

Okay, maybe Harry Styles cares. But that should really be it.

Of course, the only ones who know what’s totally up is Taylor Swift, Harry Styles and the other four-fifths of One Direction, but it brings up an important relationship topic. When you start dating a guy, you start dating his world a little bit too. You can usually put off meeting the family until you’re a little more comfortable, but meeting his friends is bound to happen pretty darn quick. Just like we can get a little territorial about our friends when they introduce a new person into the mix, his friends can feel the same way.

The fact is that both you and his friends love hanging out with your boyfriend, so it’s important to make sure you are respected as the new girlfriend, but also that his friends aren’t cast aside. We’ve come up with some dos and dont’s to help you stay on the good side of your boyfriend’s friends – and hey, hopefully you’ll get to make some new friends in the process!

Do Respect Guy Time

Allegedly Harry chose to fly to London with Taylor, rather than in the company of his band mates. Now, Harry did choose to hang with Taylor, so we're not faulting her. We're just saying his friends may not appreciate if you interrupt what they see as guy time. Don't expect him to hang out with you every waking moment, and if your guy has plans with his friends, don't be constantly checking in. His friends will appreciate that you trust your BF and you respect their time together.

Do Be Social

It can be a little awkward to hang out with his friends if you don't know them well, but do your best to not just sit there. It can give off the impression that you're bored or disinterested and that isn't a good vibe to send to his friends or to get you future invites with the whole crew. Just be your usual awesome, funny self and you'll get more comfortable in no time!

Don't Try To Get All Their Inside Jokes

While you should definitely be social, don't try to overtake the situation. The inside jokes and stories he shares with his friends have a history. If you start acting like you get them or trying to one-up all their stories, that could annoy them or make them uncomfortable, which you don't want to do. Plus, you shouldn't feel like you have to change yourself to be just like one of them anyway. It's about getting to know the real you and creating your own inside jokes with them.

Do Invite Them Along

Don't just wait around for them to invite you places — make the suggestion yourself! One-on-one dates are awesome, but there's a lot of things you do as a duo that his friends can join in on. Do you really need to watch a movie just you two? Let his friends come along and ease their worries that you're trying to keep him away from them. Plus, your friends are pretty great too, so invite them along and let everyone mingle and spark some new friendships (or maybe even romances!).

Don't Make Them Uncomfortable

Now, if you DO invite them along, don't suddenly resent them for being there or act like they're invisible. Engaging in over-the-top PDA or not acknowledging them is basically just as bad as excluding them from the get go. If a night out with you guys turns into them feeling like an unnecessary third wheel, they'll probably not want to hang out with you two again, which could lead to a divide or resentment.

Don't Judge Their Interests

Close friends do weird things when they are together. You probably do it too. Judging their activities though is a straight ticket to trouble. Maybe you don't get why they have to do certain sports rituals or why they like certain TV shows, but the worst thing you can do is to act like it's stupid. Make an effort to understand it, but if it's not your thing, that's totally fine. Just let it be their thing.

Do Try To Make Them Your Friends

Just because your boyfriend is the link between you doesn't mean that should be the only topic of conversation. Only talking about your boyfriend can get old pretty quick, but talking about the history class you take with his friend is a way for you to bond over things besides your boyfriend. Being able to consider them your friends rather than just your boyfriend's friends will make for a closer relationship.

Do Bring Something To Share

In my experience, food is a great icebreaker. What sort of hang out doesn't get better with a snack? Plus it shows that you thought about the well being of the people you're about to see. You don't have to make a five course meal, but contributing some snacks when you see the gang is a great way to be remembered as an awesome addition to the group.

Don't Make Him Choose

If you give your BF a "me or them" ultimatum, it's only a matter of time before his friends find out and that won't go over well. If you feel like you're not getting quality time with the BF, it's totally valid to talk about it - just be very careful to not phrase it in a way that undermines his friendships. That said, if you feel like his friends don't respect you, he should be willing to stand up for you. His friends shouldn't be the only important relationship he values.

Remember how Taylor and Conor Kennedy broke up a couple months back? Well it was actually Conor’s dad, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. who presented Taylor with this award. We know that Taylor is a classy girl and that this award goes way beyond who’s dating who–but we still imagine it could have been a teensy bit awkward for her to be up there with her ex-boyfriend’s dad. Right?

It’s usually inevitable that after a breakup you’re going to have to see your ex or their family once in a while–but you don’t have to let that awkward moment spoil your day. Just like her, there’s more to you than your past relationships, so sail on through that awkward moment and get back to living your awesome life.

You Run Into His Family

If you live in the same town, there's a good chance you'll run into your ex's family. Handle these moments with the same poise as Taylor did up on stage. You have no idea what version of the break-up story they heard, so don’t bring the conversation back to your ex. Ask his mom about her gardening or his dad about baseball. It’ll show that you still valued getting to know them and that you don’t hold whatever happened between you and their son against them.

You See Him With A New Girl

If you guys start chatting, be sure to acknowledge the new girl with a friendly “Hello" and your name. It would be weird if you only direct any conversation at your ex like she is invisible. Just be polite and genuine - no over-the-top fake compliments that will make her insecure. Also, don’t bring up your past relationship. That’s your guy’s decision as to when to discuss his past romantic life with his new girl.

He Sees You With A New Guy

Labels can be kind of tricky with these introductions because you don’t want to rub your new guy in your ex’s face, but you don’t make your new guy feel like he’s in the middle of something unfinished. I would just introduce them to each other by name, and you can further explain whatever labels like "ex" or "new boyfriend" if you choose to in private.

You See Him Hanging Out With Your Friends

Don't let this blow up into a "taking sides" thing – you and your ex can still have mutual friends. Just give a quick "Hey guys!" and go about your way. Don't lurk around waiting for them to include you because that could really multiply the awkward. If the run-in is really bothering you, talk to one of the friends about it at a later time when you’re out of the moment. It’s okay to express if you feel a little hurt, but remember that you can't dictate their friendships.

You Need To Give Him Back His Stuff

I think keeping gifts is totally allowed, but if he left his Xbox at your house before you broke up, it’s common courtesy to return it. If you really don't want to have to meet face-to-face, at least give him a heads up you want to return his stuff or tack a small, polite note with it. Just the idea of him just coming back to a beaten up cardboard box of stuff dumped on his doorstep doesn't really showcase maturity.

You Get Assigned As Project Partners

When your grades are at stake, you've got to stay focused on the job. If the idea of meeting one-on-one makes you stressed, just meet in a public place like the library to be sure you stick to business. Blake Lively is a married lady now, but she kept working on Gossip Girl even after breaking up with co-star Penn Badgley. The show may be dramatic, but if they’d brought a bunch of break-up drama to set, that wouldn’t have been good.

He Sees You Looking Awful

This can be a total confident zap. By trying to make excuses, it will seem like you’re desperate for his approval, which you don't need because you're awesome all on your own! It might be tough in the moment, but just channel your inner goddess. We've been there and we know you will get through it.

He Keeps Flirting With You

It can be awkward when an ex starts flirting with you and you have no intention of reciprocating. If you feel uncomfortable, let him know ASAP. Be polite, but direct with him about your feelings. Explain to him how you think this break-up was for the best. If he’s still trying to put moves on you, go find a group of friends to stick tight with until he gets the hint to leave you alone.

You Had Big Plans In Advance

Deal with these head on. If your break-up ended with you deciding to try and stay friends, maybe he's still planning on the two of you going to prom. Though it may be awkward right after a break-up, it'll be worse if it's unresolved by the big day. Especially if the plans involved something like expensive concert tickets or a family event, get yourselves both on the same page in order to move forward.
