Okay, this is by far the weirdest video I’ve watched in a while. Apparently James Franco and Ashley Benson (yeah, I’m sure they’re not dating) made a parody video of Justin Bieber’s “Boyfriend” and, um… things are strange. I’m not going to say it looks like some sort of weird and creepy sex tape gone wrong, but…. it sort of looks like a weird and creepy sex tape gone wrong. I don’t even have the words to explain what I just watched, so let’s just take James Franco’s description from his YouTube page: “I can’t describe this video. Just watch it NOW.”

I’m Pretty Into The New Trailer For “Oz The Great and Powerful”

A new and longer trailer for the upcoming movie Oz The Great and Powerful was just released, and I have to say, I’m pretty into it. And by pretty into it, I mean I’ve already watched it about three times today… okay, maybe four. I can’t help it! I think this movie looks pretty awesome.

Why? Well, a few reasons. For one thing, it’s a Disney movie, and you usually can’t go wrong with that, right? I mean, yeah, they mess up sometimes, but usually you can only expect the best from Disney. For another thing, I am seriously loving the cast. I’m kind of obsessed with James Franco (more on that later), and obviously Mila Kunis is one of my number one girl crushes. I also think Michelle Williams is an amazing actress and I’m excited to see her in a role that doesn’t make me want to cry until all of my tears are dried out. Also? I liked The Wizard of Oz, and I think it’s cool that now we get to see a different side of some of the characters from that movie. A really different side.

But I guess I’m sort of alone in being excited to see what James Franco does with his role as Oscar Diggs (AKA Oz). Apparently, critics everywhere aren’t too thrilled about that casting choice, and honestly, I don’t really get it. What’s up with all the James Franco hate, guys? I know, he totally bombed at hosting the Oscars. He looked like he was half sleepy/half high off of something and seemed like he didn’t really care about Hollywood at all. But, hey, I don’t hold that against him.

I mean, the dude does everything. Everything. He takes college classes in two different schools, participates in art shows, writes books of poetry, contributes to the Huffington Post and acts in good movies, among other things. Have all of these critics watched Pineapple Express? Okay, it’s stupid, but uh, it’s hilarious. Have they even seen him in 27 Hours? He made what could have been a complete snooze-fest something that I couldn’t tear my eyes away from (except during the gross parts).

Maybe I’m missing something as to why James shouldn’t be Oz? I think he’ll bring a fun and charming element to the role. In short, I’m excited to see this colorful movie. Check out the trailer for yourself:

Most recently, Madge, M.I.A., and Nicki Minaj channeled Monroe’s classic look in “Give Me All Your Luvin’,” but the Queen of Pop has been channeling the Queen of the Silver Screen for years. In fact, Harvey Weinstein recently referred to Madge as “Marilyn Monroe with women’s emancipation.” Sounds good to us!

In perhaps the most bizarre tribute to Marilyn, James Franco donned a pink gown, matching gloves, necklace, wig, and red lips at the 2011 Oscars. Though the skit was widely panned, it sure was memorable – though James wishes it wasn’t. He told Playboy later on, “I was so pissed about that I was deliberately going to fall onstage and hopefully my dress would fall off or something.” Wardrobe malfunction and drag? We’re sure the censors and television critics would have loved that!

A fearless James Franco admits that back when he was 19, he made a sex tape.

Permission to freak out?

During an interview about acting, the 127 Hours star was asked about the secret to a good kiss scene. James explained that it had nothing to do with the person you’re smooching, and then tried out a metaphor to help us all understand: “I think if anybody who has made a home sex tape knows, what feels best doesn’t always look best…I remember when I was 19 doing that, and then watching it back and thinking, oh, that looks horrible.”

The shameless star continued: “[I] have a lot of respect for those actors in pornography, because they are really not just doing it, they’re really selling it. It’s the same thing with a kiss. It’s not just the kiss that feels best, it’s an image. Something different is happening if it’s a good kiss.”
