Mulan was always one of my favorite Disney Princesses because she was so tough and really did exactly what she wanted to. She also loved her family so much that she essentially sacrificed herself for her dad. I really admired that about her.

Even though she pretends to be a guy throughout the whole movie, (which I don’t recommend to get the guy) she eventually comes clean and everything turns out just fine. But Mulan doesn’t want to be just some trophy girl. She wants to do things and make a difference. Don’t we all?!

Princess Jasmine is such a rebel! Even though she was basically required to marry, she wasn’t having it. Jasmine was all about adventure and finding true love instead of getting married off to someone because she was supposed to.

She’s one of the toughest Disney Princesses and likes to do things her own way, which I really admire about her. She knows what she wants and when she wants it. She also knows how to reject total jerks like Jafar and how to stand up for herself. Not to mention, she has some seriously killer outfits!

I used to get so mad when I watched Cinderella because like, how could you leave your gorgeous shoe somewhere?! I would never. But I suppose it worked out for her and Prince Charming. Poor Cinderella had to deal with her crazy stepmother and stepsisters. I was so happy that she was able to get out of that situation.

Cinderella always had hope, which is something I really admired about her growing up. No matter how bad things got, she stayed as positive as she could and knew that something good would come along. And it did!

As I’ve said before, Finding Nemo is my all-time favorite Disney/Pixar movie. So, obviously, I jumped at the chance to create a set of looks based on 10 of the best, most colorful characters in the movie. The only sad part was that I couldn’t include everyone (I’m sorry, Crush! You’re still one of my faves!).

Dressing like a bunch of cartoon fish is way easier than you would think it would be. All of these looks are cute, casual and perfect for summer. I’m loving the super easy color combos in each of the characters – some of them are probably something you’d normally never try. I’ve already shown you guys how to dress like Princess Jasmine (actually, I’ve shown you two different ways), and I’ve even shown you guys how to dress like Aladdin. I loved putting together those outfits so much and I love Aladdin so much that I decided I had to do a Dress Like for the entire movie.

I got into a pretty big debate with a friend about the Disney Princesses and how they were horrible relationship role models. I vehemently disagreed because even though they do a lot of stuff to get their princes, they also dished out some good relationship advice.

This week, we’re starting with The Little Mermaid. While some criticize Ariel for giving up her world to chase after Prince Eric, I think she had a great deal of ambition. She definitely wasn’t afraid to go after what she wanted!

Who doesn’t love Disney movies, right? I mean, they’re SO good! And the music? Amazing! I’d be lying if I told you I didn’t listen to Disney soundtracks on the regular. I know I say that a lot of movies are my favorite movies of all time, but seriously this time: The Little Mermaid is my absolute, number one, favorite movie of all time. I don’t care that I’m not a kid anymore and I’m not supposed to watch cartoons. Literally no movie will ever replace my love for this movie.

When I was younger, I used to watch The Little Mermaid every single day (no exaggeration), something that drove my mom completely insane. I wanted to be Ariel. It was a sad obsession. Obviously all of these viewings instilled some pretty serious life lessons in me. I mean, you can’t watch a movie every day for years and not learn things, you know?

Finding Dory Is Happening – Get The Details On The Finding Nemo Sequel Here!

OMG BEST NEWS EVER. The greatest (in my opinion) Disney/Pixar movie ever, Finding Nemo, is officially getting a sequel – Finding Dory is happening and in case it wasn’t obvious, I couldn’t be more excited.

Ellen Degeneres (who is the voice of Dory and if you don’t know this, I am very sad for you) announced the exciting news yesterday on her Instagram page and then later on The Ellen Show. As Ellen points out in the video below, it’s about time that a Finding Nemo sequel is happening! Guys, it’s been 10 years since Finding Nemo came out in theaters and that’s a really long time to wait.

Finding Dory will be focused on, you guessed it, Dory! And sure, Nemo is amazing and all that, but we all know that Dory stole the show the first time around, so obviously this is going to be fantastic. The movie will be about Dory searching for her family and loved ones. We’ll see the return of some of our favorite characters like Marlin, Nemo and the Tank Gang (no word on the turtles and this makes me scared), but we’ll also be introduced to some new characters from Dory’s life.

So how much longer do we have to wait until we can actually watch this movie? Um, kind of a long time. The director (who also directed Finding Nemo), Andrew Stanton, says that Finding Dory will be released November 25, 2015. I don’t know how I’m going to wait almost two years, but okay. He talked about the movie a little bit, saying, “One thing we couldn’t stop thinking about was why she [Dory] was all alone in the ocean on the day she met Marlin. In ‘Finding Dory,’ she will be reunited with her loved ones, learning a few things about the meaning of family along the way.”

I think Ellen may be even more excited than anyone else. She says, “I have waited for this day for a long, long, long, long, long, long time. I’m not mad it took this long. I know the people at Pixar were busy creating ‘Toy Story 16.’ But the time they took was worth it. The script is fantastic. And it has everything I loved about the first one: It’s got a lot of heart, it’s really funny and the best part is – it’s got a lot more Dory.”
