First things first: take a deep breath and relax! Finding a lump in your breast does not automatically mean that you have cancer. I completely understand how scary it is – once I found a lump in my armpit and I was convinced I was dying (turns out it was just swollen glands) – but freaking out isn’t going to help the situation at all. Take it from me, I’ve been there.

Let’s go over the good news first: 80 percent of lumps found in breasts are benign, which is a fancy word for “cancer-free.” Also, breast cancer generally affects older women over the age of 30 (although it can of course affect younger women also). So, chances are, your lump isn’t something to panic over.

Now it’s time for the not-so-good news: you should definitely head over to the gyno to get it checked out anyway. And, really, that news isn’t even that bad. While chances are good that your lump is nothing to worry about, it’s still really important to stay on top of your health. Trust me, your doctor isn’t going to think you’re crazy or dramatic for coming in to get a breast exam. You’re concerned about your health – there’s nothing crazy about that!

So what could this lump be? Well for starters, some breasts are just lumpier than others, so this could just be a lump you’ve maybe never noticed before. It could be a cyst – cysts sound scary, but they’re actually pretty common and can sometimes come and go throughout your menstrual cycle. It could be fibroadenoma, which is an excess formation of lobules (the glands that produce milk). The lump could also be the result of an injury you had that maybe you forgot about. The point is, a lump in your breast could mean a lot of things, not just cancer – although that is typically the first thing to pop into our minds.

Head over to the doctor and make sure you’re keeping up on your breast exams. If you can’t make it to the gyno all the time, do a monthly breast exam on yourself (use this handy guide to figure out what to do). I’m not going to lie, it’s not the most comfortable thing in the world, but you should still do it. Even though teens don’t have a huge risk of breast cancer, it’s still possible, which means it’s still important to watch out for yourself.

But I do love my boobs because well, they’re great! I’ve never been fitted for a bra before, but we went to an event at Intimacy last night to peruse some of their new selections. They were offering free fittings, and I figured why not?

By taking just one look at me, my fitting stylist said I was wearing the wrong size and chuckled a little at how tight I had to make my band and straps just to stay on. Instead of using a measuring tape, the stylists at Intimacy use a holistic method where they determine everything by touch. You’d think it would be awkward with someone poking your boobs, but it wasn’t at all.

My stylist looked at my rib cage and shoulders and felt where my boobs were sitting in the bra I was wearing. After literally 1 minute, she said “Yup, you’re definitely in the wrong bra! I’ll be back.”

She came back with a ton of gorgeous bras. Like the prettiest bras I’ve ever seen! She carefully put me into each one and the difference was absolutely shocking. I mean, I have never felt so comfortable in a bra before. And my boobs have never looked so great! I immediately felt a relief in my back and shoulders, and I was standing up super straight.

I was amazed. When I asked what the size was, my jaw dropped. I went down two band sizes and up two cup sizes. I wanted to buy every single bra she put on me!

I didn’t make a purchase last night because the bras were super fancy and way above my budget, but now I know what size I should be looking for. When I put my bra on this morning I actually groaned because it was so uncomfortable compared the bras I tried on last night.

I seriously want all of you to go get professionally fitted like immediately. Don’t do it for me. Do it for your boobs.

Why do men like breasts? Or, more specifically, why do some guys like big boobs more than smaller boobs? I think it’s safe to say that we’re all pretty curious to know exactly what it is about boobs (which are really just pockets of fat) that drive some men crazy.

But can there ever really be a clear answer to the question of why some men like bigger boobs? After all, isn’t everyone attracted to different things? Is it really true that certain groups of people are attracted to certain things? Basically, is there really a science behind physical attraction? According to a few different studies, yes – Psychology Today recently posted an article about why certain men like bigger breasts and the results are kind of surprising.

So, why are some dudes really into D-cups while some dudes dig A-cups? According to one study, men who don’t have a lot of money are more into big boobs while men who are more financially secure like smaller boobs.  Doesn’t it sound crazy that the amount of money you have could influence what size breasts you like? Um, yeah, it does.

But apparently, one view on female breast size is that it acts as “a signal of fat reserves, which in turn advertises access to resources.” Psychologists tested out this idea by asking men from different socioeconomic backgrounds what size breasts they found more attractive. Sure enough, the idea seemed to be true – the men with less material goods liked bigger breasts more. Why? It sounds like they associate large breasts with more money and resources. Since poorer men are most likely striving for more money, it would make sense that they would like something that symbolizes more money. How do breasts symbolize “more resources?” Honestly, I couldn’t tell you.

The next study found that guys who were hungry were more like to find big boobs more desirable, while guys who were not hungry were more into small boobs. Completely random, right? Apparently this study was based on the evolutionary perspective that breasts are a sign of a woman’s ability to have and take care of kids. To tell you the truth, I’m still pretty confused as to how that relates to being hungry or not hungry, but okay. I’ll go with it.

Lastly, researchers tested out this theory even more and discovered that guys who really want to be fathers at some point like bigger breasts, while guys who don’t really want to be dads liked smaller breasts. So, it looks like that evolutionary theory about boobs rings true – it seems that some men do associate larger breasts with a woman’s ability to be a good mom.

So, to recap: guys who like big breasts generally do not have a lot of money, want to be fathers one day and are hungry. Men who like small breasts have a good amount of money, don’t want to be a dad and are not hungry.

Does this sound completely ridiculous to anyone else except me? While I sort of get the science behind each of these ideas, at the same time, I’m having a hard time believing these results. And that’s not only because these studies were pretty small (the dad one only looked at 67 men), but also because it just sounds silly to me. How does hungry and money affect what kind of boobs you like? More importantly, why do we need to know why some dudes like big boobs? Maybe some guys just like the way they feel! Maybe it depends on the girl. I don’t know, I just think there are a lot of other factors to consider.

That being said, these findings were pretty interesting. And so, I want to know what you think about them: do they sound legit or ridic?

A lot of girls think that with bigger boobs comes endless possibilities. Sure, those curves fill out certain styles of clothing differently than A-cups do, but trust me – big boobs do not make everything better. Button-Down Shirts

I think I have been on a never-ending quest to find the perfect button-down shirt since I was born. I'M NOT BEING DRAMATIC. I love, love, love the look of any button-down, but unfortunately, I have yet to find one that doesn't pop open in the middle of a group of strangers to reveal my bra. That happens if I can even manage to button it up to begin with - usually I have to wear a tank underneath, which is like, ugh.

I only order my bathing suits from Victoria's Secret so that I can get them in bra sizes - and even then, the tops usually don't always fit right. Sports Bras

Any fellow large-chested woman will agree with me - sports bras are the worst. I've spent one too many workouts squishing my boobs into two different sports bras just so they don't painfully move around while I exercise... because that HURTS. It's so hard to find a good sports bra. Some of them squish you way too much (that's not support, it's just squishing) and some of them claim they're supportive, but... they're not. It's a lie. Personally, I enjoy high-impact Under Armour sports bras. Just a friendly tip.

I once heard someone say she envied girls with large breasts because we could pull of strapless things better. LOL NO. Strapless things, whether it's a bra or a dress or a top, make me miserable and I wish I were kidding. How do I explain a night full of constantly pulling up your shirt/dress/bra and wondering whether or not your boobs have turned into one giant long boob? Annoying. Terrible. Uncomfortable.

I constantly see questions from you girls that are about either wondering when your boobs will grow or how to make your boobs bigger or just how to make them look bigger, at least. Honestly, ladies, there is absolutely nothing wrong with small breasts, but if you really feel like you want to make your boobs like bigger, then hey… I’m here for ‘ya.

Which is exactly why I’m going to tell you about this latest boob product. Boob Glue™ is supposed to eliminate things like breast sagging, jiggling, bulging, underarm bulge and stretch marks. You know how you’re always grabbing hold of your bra straps to adjust your boobs into place? Boob Glue™ eliminates that too, guys. It also gets rid of something the Daily Mail calls the “dreaded quadra boob,” but honestly, I don’t know what that is. Anyone? Okay, sounds intriguing, but also… uncomfortable? Sticky? Maybe a tiny bit painful? Or am I the only one a little wary about putting glue on my boobs to hold them into place?

I mean, I’m not going to knock this completely. It does sound interesting and I’m pretty tempted to try it out. But at the same time, I can’t help but wonder how long this stuff lasts. What if you sweat a lot? Does the glue come off? Imagine if one breast starts sagging but the other one is, like, perfectly pushed up? Um, worst nightmare?

But really, what’s the big deal about uneven breasts? Oh, right… it’s not a big deal at all! Uneven breasts are a part of life, as weird as that may sound, and there’s no reason to feel ashamed of them. I once knew a girl who had really uneven boobs and it was something she told everyone. No one even cared. We were all just like, “Oh yeah, that’s Stacy. Her boobs are different sizes. Whatever.”

Only one of the coolest, most gorgeous celebrities of all time has uneven boobs. During her latest interview with Jimmy Kimmel, JLaw discussed the doctor's visit where she realized she had uneven breasts, saying, "I was like standing there with these doctors and they're like looking at my lungs and I just couldn't - it felt like an elephant in the room - and I was like, 'Are my breasts uneven?' And they were just kind of, like, stifled and uncomfortable, obviously. So I kept thinking, 'Well, I'm gonna dig myself out of this hole by bringing it up again.' So he was like, 'All right, our radiologist will get back to you about your lungs.' And I was like, 'And my breasts.'"

Actually, Most Women Do

Jennifer Lawrence and yourself aren't the only women out there rocking uneven boobies - the majority of women are also. It's true! Yeah, some people might experience more of a difference than others, but the point is, you are so not alone. See? No big deal.

Feeling self-conscious about your different sized boobies? You shouldn't. Unless your breasts are drastically different, I'm guessing almost no one notices that except for you. We're all our own worst critics. And if they are drastically different? Whatever. Who cares if people notice? No one is perfect.

Okay, so you'e getting naked with a dude, but... things are just a little bit awkward. No worries! Just blurt out, "Look at my boobs, they're not the same size!" It will totally lighten the mood. Seriously. Guys are interested in that kind of stuff.
