My favorite shoes are an ultra-expensive, super-gorgeous pair of Prada loafers. They are the perfect dress shoe--shiny and black--plus they fit like a glove. When they are on my feet I feel slick and debonair.

The problem is that they are almost too nice to wear. I've had them for over a year now and I must admit: I have only worn them twice. They intimidate me. When I put them on, it's like I step into this whole other world (sort of like Dorothy in her red slippers). Suddenly, I feel like I need to be the type of person who wears this type of shoes. And that's just a little too much to live up to on most days.
