My dad traveled a lot for work, so when he first moved out, it wasn't that much of a change. I felt like he was away on one of his jobs and would be home soon.

Then my brother left for college. Before I turned around, it was just me and my mom.

As a result of living with my mom I definitely got a biased view of why my parents split up.

I felt guilty about that, but whenever I asked my dad any questions about the breakup he said:

"That's between your mother and I."

Although true, I hated that answer. It didn't explain anything to me and just left me more puzzled.
