The ComebackMy senior year of high school was supposed to go smoothly. Unfortunately, things didn't turn out the way I expected. I was rejected by all but one of the colleges I applied to.
I decided to move back to California--whether the schools I applied to wanted me there or not.
Leaving the east coast was much harder than I expected, I had grown accustomed to it and had to leave a "sort-of boyfriend" who was nothing but good to me. He treated me just as I deserved to be treated, but I guess the problem was that: it wasn't California and he wasn't Kevin.
By this time, Kevin and I had a wonderful, trustworthy friendship and M. was just an insignificant memory of the past. I, however, could not stick to my friendship only rule.
So I came back, single and eager. Not only eager to see what my life would be like but also eager to be someone different. I no longer wanted to be the "relationship girl"; all I wanted was to have fun.
