The BreakupSome things really are too good to be true. He messed up and I found out. One Saturday afternoon, he lied to me by saying he was going to stay home all day. The following Monday morning at school, I found out the truth from one of M.'s cousins.
She told me that she, Kevin, M. and some other friends went to the mall, and apparently, he wasn't acting like I was his girlfriend anymore--either that or it just didn't matter that I was-- because he and M. were openly affectionate with each other that day.
When I saw him later that Monday, I could hardly look at him. He wasn't the person I had once known and grown to love. We broke up, our friendship was ruined and everything was different. The happiness, love, and empty promises made during our relationship were now just words in the distant memories of my past, and I was never the same because of it.
