What's it like performing in front of tons of people? Do you get nervous?
Performing in front of tons of people is something I've been doing most of my life so I've gotten used to dealing with the fears that come along with it. I'm always excited because I love sharing my talent with an audience. Then, right as my name is called to go on stage, I get nervous. Over the years, I've learned to carry on through and it eventually subsides by the middle of my show.
If you weren't a singer, what would you be doing?
If I weren't a singer, I'd still be involved with music. I'd be playing an instrument, writing and producing songs.
What advice would you have for a teen girl wanting to get into the music industry?
My advice would be to learn as much as you can about every aspect of the industry--management, booking, recording contracts, etc. You need to know if the people handling your career are doing it right. Make sure you have a lawyer you can trust to keep you protected. Finally, remember to stay humble and always say, "Thank you!"
