"There are fashions that change and fashions that do not change or fashions
that change slowly but there are always fashions."
Gertrude Stein's early fashion style in Paris was brother-sister look-alike. She
and her brother Leo walked around town and visited art galleries in
matching brown corduroys and comfortable sandals.
Later, she made a habit of wearing velvet robes and slippers while
indoors. To go out, she would add a belt, a walking stick and a turban.
