This talented sister trio deceived their publishers into believing they were men when they began printing their work (which included "Jane Eyre," "Wuthering Heights" and "The Tenant of Wildfell Hall") under the pseudonyms Currer, Ellis and Acton Bell. The Brontes also used their pen names to hide their "hobby" from their dad, an Anglican preacher who didn't find out for years.
