"Spring Awakening is a story about a group of teenagers living in 1890s Germany who are growing up and dealing with all the issues of becoming adults. It has to do with a lot of important things [like] first love, figuring out your sexuality, dealing with abuse and not doing well in school ... Everyone who has ever grown up has dealt with these issues."

"My character's name is Thea and she's the youngest and smallest. I play a 13-year-old. Everyone else in the show is 14 or 15. She seems like a normal girl until she is confronted with her friend's abuse (Marta). She deals with it in a very creepy way because she justifies Marta's parents and says that what Marta's parents are doing is right. She's kind of brainwashed."
