poetry about love

love: so i miss you

I

oh, miniature universe
spinning your confining rubber web
around the point
where throat and stomach meet
you smother me
I'm rising, breathing, gasping, choking
clear air is in my lungs
for short hours
then you swallow me
slurp my freedom like a dollar soda
unseen, unheard consumer
yet
you're my miniature universe
sparkling sunny warm
painful exploding stars

II

slow down out of
the rotating cycle moon around
earth around sun
the whole universe was spinning
I on the outside in orbit

the pull of gravity is lessening now weakening its ionic bonds
slowly it dissolves like sticky drink crystals
like dust in the sun
the moon cools and slips silently out of orbit
