poetry about life

life: i am from
I am from the warm rain,
That showers over Arizona,
From the constant barking of my Grandma's five dogs.

I am from the long hallways
In Parkrose high school,
From the disgusting school food smell
Lingering in the air

I am from the constant yelling
Of my sister and I,
From the music of my stereo
Being heard throughout my house.

I am from the Johnny Depp
Posters and movies in my room,
From the years I spent collecting them.
I am from a family of six
Two brothers, two sisters, me, and my parents,
From the long lectures we have in our family room,

I am from Arizona to Oregon,
From desert to valley,
From cacti to Douglas fir,

And Arizona I am soon to be.
