This is the nickname I've had since I was a baby. It's been an annoyance to me for most of my life. I was a chubby baby and when I was little I got a kick out of my nickname (which my aunt gave me), but as I got older and kept my baby fat the name just wasn't as funny. Now, I'm rarely called Fat Pat unless the person calling me that wants to make me mad.
My real name I love however. I was named after my grandma and my father (who I have never met and never want to meet), but I love being Sylvia Patricia. I've been Patricia my whole life because my grandma was still alive and she went by Sylvia. One thing I've always found interesting about my name is that Sylvia means "of the woods or forest," which kinda suits me because I love nature. I've never learned what Patricia means.
One day I asked my mom what she would've named me if she hadn't already decided my name. Since she was into "The Lord of the Rings" at the time I could've been named Arwen Evenstar...
