My name is Nicole. The year I was born, Jack Nicklaus was the top golfer of the PGA tour. My parents are kind of the country club-golfer types. My dad was hoping for a boy to name it Nicholas. But out I came as a girl. And it got changed to Nicole.

I really don't know what the meaning of my name, "victory of the people," is supposed to mean. But I get a lot of nicknames out of it--Nicky (family) and from friends, Nikki, Nix and Nixter! Most people think Nikki is a wild and crazy kinda party girl name, but I think my middle name of Christian settles it down a bit.
