I think I'm finally ready to have sex, but the problem is, I don't have a boyfriend. My friends think I should fall in love before I decide to have sex. I think it's okay to have casual sex, or in my case, "friends with benefits," even if it's your first time.

My question is: does your first time always have to be with someone you love?

    We Think Alike
I was actually thinking the same thing as you. I'm a sophomore in college and I'm still a virgin.

Theres a boy I really like, but we aren't dating and haven't hooked up in any way for months. His feelings are different from mine, but I'm not sure exactly how he feels. I was thinking of asking him to get back into hooking up, and I was thinking, if it leads to sex, is that a problem?

Like what everyone else says, you need to have trust in him and be comfortable with him. Trust is key, especially as a teenager. Too many guys talk about who they have sex with, and it just isn't right.

Many girls regret their first time--at least girls I've talked to. But if you're sure about the person, I don't really see the problem. It's enitrely your own choice and no one else's!

What's Love Got To Do With It?
Don't sleep around. But if you want do it with a close friend who you care about and who cares about you, then I think it's a good idea.

Sex is a natural, healthy aspect of life and you shouldn't have to force yourself into a relationship just because you want to have sex. And don't forget to do it safely!
