I'm a junior in high school and the prom is in April. Just about EVERYONE is starting to secure their dates and anyone I want to go with already has a date or wouldn't consider going with me.

I have no idea what to do. I really don't want to go alone, but I also don't want to miss out on the whole prom experience! What should I do?

    Take someone younger
Take someone a year younger then you--that's what I did for my prom. I took a friend who was in the grade below me so then he didn't have a date. But don't stress; I didn't have a date until a month before prom and it still worked out! Just remember the most important thing is to have fun!

    Make it your night
Pick someone you feel comfortable with. There doesn't even have to be a lot of attraction, just a guy friend you feel super cool with, with no expectations, relaxing.

You will have way more fun than if you just go with someone you don't know or are the third wheel with friends. That way, you'll look AWESOME for yourself and no one else, and your date won't expect anything at the end of the night. (That's not a fun situation, TRUST ME!)

    Explore Your Options
At prom, you should just want to have fun. Go with a guy friend--maybe one of your friends cousins or something like that. You'll find someone, don't stress!

    Advice
Just relax! It doesn't matter if you have a date. Be independent!

Don't stress about it! Even though it's hard to believe, there are plenty of girls (and boys) who are in just the same boat you are. You've got three months until prom, and that means there is plenty of time to find a date.

If time starts running out and you're still dateless, go with some girlfriends who don't have dates either (there will be some, trust me). This way, you aren't going to feel obliged to hang around the same guy all night long, and you'll be able to dance willingly with any other boys there!

    Gurl, Please.
Try asking someone you like or someone you are friends with. If that doesn't work, go by yourself. Trust me, it's a lot of fun. You can dance with whoever you want to and leave with whoever you want to without worrying about who has something to say.

    Go With Some Girlfriends
So you still have some time to get a date. Scope out a bunch of guys. You may not think that some guys would say yes, but give it a shot! What do you have to lose? And if they say yes, then you scored a date.

You could also ask a guy from another school that you're friends with or want to be more than friends with. If things don't work out and you don't have a date by prom, plan to go with your girlfriends. Maybe some of them don't have dates as well.

You can still have all the benefits of prom without having to stick to one date.

    Who Knows?
I think you should just ask a bunch of your close friends and go as one big group. Maybe if you organize that, some guy will come ask you to be his date. But in the mean time, don't worry about it. Prom isn't about having a date, it's about having fun! And thats all you should be concerned about.

    Prom
Prom won't be as worthwhile if you just go with the first guy you can find. Either find a guy you like, go with a friend, or go solo! Because, honestly, if you're going with a guy you barely know it will only be awkward. Plus, you have one more year of high school left! Who says you have to go this year? Why not save up that money to make your senior prom even better?

    Oh, Whatever.
I bet you anything, half those people will end up breaking it off or changing their minds or something. They're teenagers, it's what they do. So don't worry about it! Wait and see what happens. Maybe somebody will ask you. Or you could ask somebody else.

Do a little research, find out if any cute people are dateless like you. If worse comes to worst, go with a friend who also doesn't have a date. It could be more fun, not having to worry about your "date" and all.
