Try talking to your friend's mother and telling her that you don't do drugs. Better yet, have your mom or dad talk to her for you. Parents sometimes respond better to other parents. If you're not doing drugs then you really don't have anything to hide and can be honest. She's the only one who can decide whether to believe you, or your parents, or not. It's up to her. But if you're 100% honest then you've done all you can do.

    Presentation
It's about how you present yourself and your attitude. I have been through the same things with my mom and friends. She think one of my good friends was a little too "grown up," until she actually met her. She changed her mind when she found out she was actually very respectable. The same thing goes with my sister's friend. She looks "ghetto" but she was respectable too. When you are talking to your friend's mom have a calm voice. If you present yourself well she may have a different perspective of you.

I think you should talk to your friend's mom, one on one, and ask her why she thinks you're doing drugs. Explain to her that you don't do drugs and you would never force your friend into doing anything reckless. If you can't get through to her, tell your mom. She can try talking to her, or get your friend to talk to her mom to see if she can explain that you don't do anything bad. Sooner or later, one of you can get through to her.

    Actions speak louder than words.
Try to explain how you feel to your friend's mom, but make sure your actions match what you say. If you speak totally different from how you behave it might make it harder for her to believe you.

    Similar Things
Maybe something has happened with drugs in her life (to her or a friend) and it hurt her. It could explain why she's being overprotective. Also get her to explain her reasons for thinking you were taking drugs. Maybe she saw you one day when you were very tired or something and assumptions got in her head. Maybe she's worried about something her daughter has done and it looking for someone to blame.

    Hmm...
How do you project yourself? Do you often look tired, or wear sloppy clothing or smell like smoke (maybe your parents or other friends smoke)? Think about the image you are projecting. Maybe your best friend's mom isn't the only person who thinks you are doing drugs. As for her, the only way to convince her is to earn her trust by talking with her and being honest. Hopefully, she will see you are a good person.

Unfortunately, you can't really control what people think of you, especially mothers. However, you should sit down and talk to her one-on-one. Tell her that her accusations are not only hurting your feelings, but she is also ruining your good reputation. Also tell her that no matter what, you would never do anything to put your friend in jeopardy. You care about her after all! If nothing else works, I suggest going to your mom. Sometimes it takes one mother to get through to another.

First, you need to figure out why she thinks you are on drugs. Then you need to really talk to her, heart-to-heart type. Make sure she knows you would never do drugs or hurt your best friend--her daughter. The two of you have been friends for a long time; you need to fight for this. Best of luck!

    Harsh
The only thing I can think of for you to do is to confront her and tell her that it really hurts you that she would think such awful things about you. Explain to her that you have never tried drugs and that you never will. Tell your friend to talk to her about it also. I think eventually she will come around. If not, then that is her problem.

    Good Advice
I would talk to your friend's mom one-on-one and tell her you have never touched a drug in your life. Have a personal conversation with her. If you talk to her, maybe she will change her mind about you.
