My boyfriend's mother has cancer and my mom thinks I should ask him about her sometimes. I always feel bad because I never know how he's going to react. I like his mom. She's really nice but sometimes it's still weird between me and her. Should I say something or not?

I totally understand how your boyfriend feels because my dad has cancer. My ex was really sweet and what I liked most was that he would occasionally ask, "How's your dad?" But he wouldn't push it if I didn't want to talk. If I did, he was always there for me and even though he couldn't understand how I felt he would still listen to me rant and rave or cry if I wanted to.
