Lemme tell you this
My friend is a total player and he has taught me everything I know about boys. Boys use every advantage you give them to make you feel horrible. NEVER EVER GIVE THEM THAT ADVANTAGE. Show you don't care and if he really cares he'll see you're a strong person and won't take you lightly.

If he wants to be a player then why can't you be one too. So that way neither one gets hurt because you will have another guy on the side and he will have another girl.

Date him. If he breaks-up with you, who cares? You'll get over him. When he goes with other girls you go with other boys.

Do what you think is right.
That's really weird cause I am in the same situation. ... I would say start out as friends, so you can observe how he treats other girls. Over time see where things go.

Don't take things so seriously!
I am assuming your a teenager...right? It's not like you're going to marry the boy (well most likely not). I am going to give you the same advice that I give to all my other friends on teenage boys," I always tell the girls never take it seriously, if you don't take it seriously you never get hurt, if you never get hurt you always have fun!"
