You could act flirty, but don't go overboard. Compliment his shirt or his new haircut, but make sure you only pay that attention to him. Otherwise, he'll just think you are a flirt to everyone--but if you keep your focus directed to him, he'll get the message, and he might even respond... --Posted by A.B.C.1.2.3 10:31AM EST 03/30/04

Speak up!!!!! When you come to class in the morning, tell him hi, and if it's a Monday or a day after a long weekend or holiday ask him what he did and if he had fun. Make small talk, help him with his work if he needs it or ask him to explain some stuff to you. First become friends with him, then when he trusts you as a friend, start making your moves!!!! Start slowly...and DON'T RUSH THINGS!! --Posted by nuttymoo 10:31AM EST 03/30/04

Although, it may seem daunting, talking is the best solution. I mean you could always try to get the guy's attention by decking yourself out in your cutest outfit, but why bother? He's not going to suddenly strike up a conversation with you because suddenly you look different. Plus it's better to act normally so he doesn't expect something else. Strike up a conversation by asking to borrow a pen or a pencil. It sounds cheesy, but it'll force some sort of communication to occur. Most importantly be yourself; don't use a facade because you think that's what he likes. Just act as normal as possible. It'll definitely be difficult but worth it nevertheless. --Posted by scooterpie529 10:31AM EST 03/30/04

I have been in that situation lots of times. When you guys are going to do a group activity or something in class, try to get in the same group and talk to him. Or when you guys are walking out of class strike up a conversation with him. Or talk to him on AIM or MSN. Try to be friends first (I KNOW everyone says that but...you will find out if you still like him once you know him) and then see where it goes! Hope it works out! --Posted by clobear16490 10:31AM EST 03/30/04

I would try and go up to him and say hey what is your favorite ______ team? (Name a soccer team or whatever sport he likes best!) --Posted by Dez-i 10:31AM EST 03/30/04

Just ask to borrow a piece of paper and then continue the conversation from there while he gets the piece of paper out. Talk to him about whether or not he likes the teacher and then you know how to continue from there! --Posted by In_love11 10:31AM EST 03/30/04
