Okay, I'm Mormon, and some of my friends make fun of me. I'm scared that because of my religion I'm going to lose them as my friends. I mean I'm not changing my religion just to make someone happy, but I don't want to lose my friends. I want to say something about it, but I'm scared that they are going to take what I say the wrong way, and blow it out of proportion. Help me please.

I think that if they were your true friends, they wouldn't care about your religion. They would accept you for who you are and not what you believe in. If they can't do that, then there are real and true friends that you can find who will...

Hey guess what? I'm Mormon too! I know exactly what you mean 'cause I go to school with non-lds kids and have non-lds friends too. But unlike your friends, my friends are respectful about that aspect of my beliefs. Just tell them how they make you feel when they say mean things and make fun of you. Once you open up to them hopefully they'll realize what their doing and say sorry. Take care.

I think the best thing you could do right now is explain to your friends what your religion is about. Ninety-five percent of the time people make fun of things because they don't understand. So try to have a serious talk to your friends about what being Mormon is all about, and they'll hopefully cut you some slack.

I'm lds too, and I have some friends who weren't very nice to me because of my religion, so I started hanging out with people who were more supportive and didn't care what race, religion, or culture I'm from, and slowly I began to realize that they were much better friends then my so-called "teaser friends."

Hi! Well, to start off with, I'm not really sure what a Mormon is, but I have some advice for you. Well, I go to a school with mainly Greek people, who are mostly Orthodox, and I, being Italian, am a Catholic. They sometimes make harmless jokes about my church or God or Jesus, but I never take it personally. If they say it in a harmless way, then maybe you shouldn't be so sensitive! But if it comes to a point where it can be called HARASSMENT, then maybe you should talk to an adult, or someone you trust. Hope I helped! ~xoxoxox~
