My mom always reminds me of the mistakes that I have made in the past, how do I get her to stop and focus on the good things I am doing?

    let it be...
    My mom always stresses on things I have stopped doing cuz I was sick and tired of being scolded... Your mom has to realize that "what happened will not come back" so she can't just keep scolding you for what happened in the past and she can't change it now. Maybe she just wants you to realize what mistakes you have done in the past and wants you to learn from them. Be cool, but do share your feelings with her.

    hmm
    Maybe your mom has something in her past that she wants to change, and that's why she focuses on it so much. You can't change the past, but you can the future. Try and ask her why she doesn't look foward to the future you're trying to create.

    talk about it
    I think you should tell your mom how you feel and maybe she will stop. It's always a good idea to let others know what's on your mind. What happened in the past will always affect the future but it shouldnt bother you to that extent.

    no way
    My mom does the same and there is no way you are going to get her to change. She talks about it because she wants you to learn from it. Keep up with the good work and soon she won't have anything bad to talk about.
