What I got my BF
I took the board game "Chutes and Ladders" and I changed it to "A Walk Down Memory Lane." On the boxes I put stuff we had done together, etc. And I got him a pair of boxers. Cute, and practical!

Take him out!!
I think the best gifts are EXPERIENCES instead of OBJECTS! Take him out on a date for his xmas gift!!! Pay for his dinner, or take him to an amusement park or arcade or something so you can have fun together. That's way better than a material object.

Cooking, or crafting
I think you could cook him a cake, cookies, or some delicious dessert. You can also draw something for him, or write something for him...

Get him something about a fun time you had with him... something that would remind him (and you) about an inside joke you two have together. It will make him feel happy and help him remember all the good times he has had with you!

Ask him for a wish list with many different things he wants...so you can have items to choose from.

Let him think of you
Get him something that reminds him of you, but that he really likes...something you guys have in common, because then you'll get excited about giving him. I got my boyfriend a Nekromantix(psychobilly band we love) zip up hoodie and patches for it. Something not too sappy, but I know that he'll appreciate.
