My parents are divorced so me, my mom, brother, and sister live with my grandma. It's a great house but I have to share a room with my little sister. I have no privacy!! I have a trunk in my room for the stuff I don't want her to see, but she is in everything else I own. Is there anything else I can do to get some more privacy??? Thanks.

    Listen up girls!!!!
From someone who can relate to you here is my advice. Telling on her is not the answer. What you need to do is spend time with her. She is crying for attention. Go on a walk with her, bake, shop, do her hair, crafts, help her with homework. Soon she will be too busy to look through your stuff.

    Talk to your mom
Hey, I suggest you sit and talk to your mom, just your mom. I promise she'll understand the privacy thing; she probably went through the same thing as a child. ... I lived with my dad and brother before I moved in with my mom, and I felt like I had no privacy. I talked to my dad, and he turned the storage spot under our stairs into my own hang out, he even put a lock on the door, and only I had the key. The only rule was it had to be unlocked when I was in there (you couldn't hear the fire alarm--so for safety reasons) maybe you have somewhere you can do that? All you need is a medium-sized closet and you're good to go.

    Lock box
I have similar issues not with siblings, but with my mom. She crowds me out in our little house, and she doesn't hesitate to snoop. If you have a few private items, Target sells these mid-sized lockboxes with comination or key locks for $10 for a small one, and more as they get bigger. The small one is big enough to hold my journal and some other stuff, so maybe that will help people who need privacy with their personal items.

    Talk!!!
You should try talking this issue out with your family! You never know how understanding they may be if you nicely explain to them how important privacy is to you. It's worth a shot!

    bubbles and candles
Not every house has a place that there isn't someone in at all times. Whenever my house gets crowded I grab some bubble bath and relax in the tub. It's also good to light a candle and maybe even read a magazine or a book.

Why don't you ask your family fro some alone time? Like about at least 10-15 minutes to yourself with no one around. That's what I do because I am the only girl in a house of boys and you know boys can't stay in one place. It helps me so much because I can get all my thoughts together and actually think!!
