Digs

Keeps me alert.
If someone did something that hurt me, then I'll remember and move on. But the next time I'll be more aware of the person or situation.
--Posted by peanut-girl

Listen Here.
I agree that grudges are totally lame. But in my case, when someone has gone out of their way to hurt you or to bring you down, you cant just forgive them and move on, because they'll most likely just do it again. So I'm not necessarily for holding grudges, but more for not forgetting what they've done to you, more like you can't trust them again after they've hurt you so much.

I cant...but I should
K. Im gonna dig em...but but I'm not saying you should drop a friend because they skipped out on movie night to hang with their crush. I'm just saying that you have to have a backbone & you have to stand up for yourself. & sometimes that means holding on to feelings or ignoring people for some time...but thats better than lying down and letting anyone & everyone walk all over you, isnt it? And whos to say that thoes same people wont do it again after you've forgiven them. Grudges help you to remember whos been a good friend and whos let you down. I'm not saying drop all your friends...im just saying have a backbone.

Too Much!!
Your not very smart if you make me mad. I hold grudges for a very long time.
--Posted by hardysgirl23

pple don't change
most of the time the person that does you the worst is someone close to you therfore you have every right to hold a grudge i dig it
--Posted by dbtbc5gg2006

I'm sad to say this...
But I am not the best at forgiving, and when someone hurts me, I don't forget and usually don't want to forgive. xx
--Posted by technicolornightmare

WHY I HOLD THEM??
I HOLD THEM FOR A LONG TIME. BUT ITS A PART OF MY DISORDER I HAVE. ITS VERY HARD FOR ME TO TO FORGIVE SOMEBODY. IT DEPENDS ON WHAT THEY DO TOO. LIKE RIGHT NOW IM HOLDING A GRUDGE AGINIST MY CRUSH BECAUSE EVERYTIME WE MAKE PLANS HE BREAKS THEM AND WE MADE 4 OF THEM. SO YES IM NOT TALKIN TO HIM, IM HOLDIN A GRUDGE. BUT USUALLY AFTER 5 DAYS IM OVER BEING MAD AT SOMEONE, THATS JUST THE WAY I AM, I CAN'T CHANGE IT =]

Forgive and Forget!!!!
Grudges are unhealthy and focusing your life on an enemy isn't healthy.
--Posted by americandadluver

Unhealthy
Holding grudges can make you depressed. Just make peace with the other person and move on.
--Posted by lily623

Move ONNNNN!
I agree with peanut-girl. It's something that hurt me and I will be pissed at the person for a while but in about 2 weeks...I'll be over it. I'll just move on from it but don't think that because six months or a year has passed that you can step in my face like nothing ever happened!
--Posted by sweetsmooches091

No way
I've never been able to hold a grudge. I'm just naturally forgiving. I mean, if somebody did something really mean to me, I can try to avoid getting involved with them, but I can't be mad at them for too long. And everyone deserves a second chance. If you don't hold a grudge, you can be more open to being able to see if they have changed or not. Everybody changes anyway, at least that way you can see when. Be open minded.

I'm a big believer of Forgive and Forget, so...
--Posted by gatrgrl518

what's the point, eventually whatever they did isn't going to matter. I like to think everyone can change so it's not fair to still be mad at them for something they did when they were younger, they were basically a different person then (in most cases) and even if they're the same just stop caring being mad and holding a grudge isn't going to change anything that happened so why bother holding a grudge at all.

Dats Terrible
I dnt believe in holdin grudges against those i luv and/or care for. U neva kno wat 2morro may hold. Now wat if sumthin happens to one of u guys, there wnt b any chance of reconciliation.
--Posted by tha_otha_sid3_of_m3

ehh
i can not hold a grudge to save my life. i try to get mad at someone and wont be able to do it. so grudges just seem pointless to me.
--Posted by blueyedbabi05

If someone hurts you deliberately, you don't want to make them your most trusted companion, but grudges are unconstructive.
--Posted by hippiesque

grudges suck
i dont know about you but i wouldnt like having someone hold a grudge against me
--Posted by xx3nessy3xx

naahh
I cant hold grudges. Im ticked for a couple days then I move on.
--Posted by ihopeyoudiexo

I really am torn on this one. I agree that if a person wrongs you, that it isn't smart to trust them anymore. But people do change. And holding grudges jsut isn't healthy for you as a person. It makes you unhappy. Besides in the end you would probably have no friends. which would suck
