the dress...
ok, i have been planning the perfect prom dress ever since i was 4, but unfortunatley for me, our school doesn't have proms... so i'm sorta out of luck... but as long as you have a date, a dress and a group of friends, the prom is an awesome tradition everyone should be a part of:)

I like prom everygirl has dreamed about it at one point it time. I don't really like that you spend so much money on stuff for one night but if you have fun it's worth it i think. im going to my first one in 2 months even though i have no date but hey at least im going! Becuase im sure if you really want to go and then don't you'll regret it. So yay prom!

Blow Out
There are three things ecential to a party:
1) GOOD MUSIC
2) Snacks
3) PEOPLE
THe problem at my school is that they only allow Jrs and Srs to go which leaves out over half my school. (Small School) Then they totally suck because all they play is rap/hip hop/r&b. NOT EVERYONE LIKES THAT!!! We don't even have live bands anymore. Also theme totally sucks: Black and White HOW IS THAT A THEME? But just cause it sucks at my inky dinky school doesn't mean yours won't kick ass! GO HAVE FUN EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO MAKE IT!

I love prom.
Prom can be amazing, if you go with a guy you like. I think it's an awesome night, just being able to let loose and party and have a fun time with your guy and your friends. And there's nothing like feeling beautiful, am I right? :-) It's a special once (or twice) in a lifetime thing, and I think it's one of those "childhood/teen" events that will never happen again and you should take advantage of. Why do you think our parents go crazy and take all those pictures? :-)

OMG prom is a neccesity. It is a way to celebrate your last years, and months, of the hell hole they call high school. Um, HELLO, don't you want to get glam and see some people get appreciated?

My proms were ok. My first one started out really bad, but got better because a good friend of mine was there. I got to dance with a really hot guy. The second was crappy because the directions were really bad to the place and we got there late, but I had fun at the end. I attended the first one alone, just broke up with my boyfriendk; and the second I went with a friend and my cousin, who's school doesn't have a prom, my boyfriend was in Korea.
I liked getting dressed and being pampered more so than the actual prom. I did the same thing for pageant. I think that's the real fun part.

Not bad
Our prom is always rubbish but I'm going anyway. I haven't spent much on my dress but it's still gorgeous. We're going by bus too which is probably going to be the highlight of the evening! If the prom's rubbish we'll probably just go off into town or something. What's also annoying is that some of my friends have their language speaking exams the next day so the can't stay out late. Fortunately mine's a different day.

It's So Fake
People spend more prom than they do on college sometimes, trying to transform themselves into something unattainalbe for one night. If you ask me, it's all a load of crap. I wish I never went to mine.

Getting Het Up
Girls get really het up about it, and try to find any decent guy to go with you, buying the most expensive dress you can, and it's only for one night? I think, yes, it maybe fun to go to, but some girls make too much fuss.

first of all, what is the point of having a prom when you go to an all-girls school like i did? yes let's all dress up for a bunch of girls to see us. i didn't go to mine and everyone said...you will totally regret it, but as of yet I DON'T regret at all not going! from what EVERYONE has told me, i didn't miss much at all. most of the people who went now regret actually going and spending all that money! it was another excuse for the cliques to gather and exclude others. a "GRAD" slideshow featured only pictures of the few people who put it together. sounds like an all around crappy time to me!

girls worst nightmare
the only girls who like prom, are the ones with boy's or the one that's gonna have one. its not fun for the hopeless girls like me, and countless others. its just another school dance filled with sad, pitiful moments of watching your crush dance with the one girl you hate. its no fun. why should a ''formal'' dance be any different. ITS NOT.

I honestly think its overated i went to one before and my own is coming up . But its just another event for a women to spend money on a fancy dress and the fact that there always rumors of young women losing their virginity on prom night also makes me not understand the signifigance ... i don't dis gurls who go since i've went but i just don't see the big deal

I'm going to mine, but you see, I just broke up with my boyfriend, but I insist on having a date to dances so perverts won't bother me (sounds stupid, but it happens to me a lot). And do you know how hard it was to find a date?

if youre into dances that's cool, but i just think prom is a bit overrated and i dont think you should spend 200 or 300 or even more dollars on a dress that youll wear one night except for your wedding dress
