I don't want to find like some social status obsessed suberbanite, because I'm not. and I hate how much Gas they use. But, I love them, full sized. Mid-sized are ugly...but...I just have a thing for big cars..Hummers I can't stand, they're cool looking, but they aren't worth it. I'm not sure WHY I like them...because when I get my own car I want a small one...but I do like SUV's.

if you can afford it get it..i'm about to get my first car and i'm REALLY thinking about getting a TrailBlazer..but SUV's aren't for everybody ESPECIALLY people who can't drive.

i think that SUVs are good to have, but its rediculous how many people have them now a days. They take up so much space on the street, use alot of gas and are meant to be used for harder purposes not just so that you look cool in it. If you get one, you should get it because you can put all the room it has to good use.
I have a ML430(mercedes suv) and i use it for a lot of things. I am always taking road trips with friends up and down the coast so it is good that it is spacious instead of being cramped up in a little GEO. And if I didnt use it for so many things i wouldnt have gotten it.

Love Em'
My family just got a 2002 Chevy Tahoe. I absolutely love it! It gets about 18 miles to a gallon. Not great, but the mini-van we used to have only got 20. Not to much different! I really could care less about what people say about it. I love them! Besides my family's not all bad. My dad's car for work (he puts about 600 miles on it a week) get 40 miles to a gallon. That isnt so bad is it?

My mom has an SUV. I think that if it doesn't get too big then they're fine. But, some are just gas hogs.

i love SUV's so much!! if u gotta lotta friends to haul, whats better? they're so much fun! if you have a problem with the pollution, YOU invent a truck that runs on water. i'm not sayin i dont care about pollution, its just that all cars are gonna do it, and if you're drivin an old crappy little car, its gonna leave even MORE pollution!! also in regard to high gas prices, if you're drivin around an SUV, obviously you have the money so it doesnt really matter that its expensive if you can afford it. i think SUV's are great!!

SUV's Rock! what better vehicle to go off-roading in!?!? they are so much fun! ya they are hard on gas, but so are a lot of vehicles!they're great for doing outdoorsy stuff, and great when you and your friends wanna go on a road trip or you have lots of people in your vwehicle.I for one Plan on owning one!And yes they pollute but so does just about every vehicle.

i have no idea wat a SUV is but i think from readin other ppl's opinions that its a big car meant for drivin out bush that i like to call a 4-wheel-drive. soz for soundin stupid but im not from the US. well over here is a status symbol for parents forget pickin ur kids up in a saab or bmw over here its a nice big Land Cruiser wit mum hangin out the window fixin her makeup. its kinda stupid. but then it counts y u got one. my dad has a rock-hopper wit massive suspension and tires. he drives that beast down cliffs and over rivers its got mud all over it and its his baby he luvs it, he luvs pickin me up from skool and makin faces all all the Land Cruiser mums. But my next door neighbour has a big Jeep and well all she does is drive it to the mall and back, thats boring. if ur guna have one plz use it properly lol

You might as well write "I'm materialistic" on your forehead....what is the point in having an SUV? If you need seats for a long of people, then get a smaller car that will allow you to fit a good amount of people in it, like a minivan. SUV's destroy the environment and promote materialism. Just because your car is large does not make you any more important than the rest of us. It is extremely selfish to buy an SUV....you may have a "cool" car, but think of what you're doing to the environment....get a life narcistic brats.

they're far too big, they use up more fuel, they're a hazard to all the other drivers on the road (the headlights being at the same level as the front window of a normal sized car, and all), and the people that drive them always seem to think they can do whatever the hell they want.

Not for me
They're okay if you have a big family or if you go on road trips a lot, but people who drive them tend to get careless on the road, cuz they think that they can be that way cuz they have a big suv. It's not at all safe for us who have smaller cars. Another thing that gets me mad are people who park their SUV's near the corner so when someone's trying to pull out they can't see.

hey, did you know that not even 9 out of 10 SUV owners even take their vehicles off-road, which is what they're supposedly designed for? actually we had an SUV several years ago, we took it camping and it was nearly totaled only getting there and back! not to mention they eat gas like crazy, and everyone still drives the damned things despite it's 2 dollars a gallon and gas is what america is destroying the world for....all hail trendiness!!!

SUVs are cool, but i recently did a science project on them. want to know some of the stuf i learned?
1. depletes the ozone
2. kills and/or diseases organisms
3. raising America's dependency on foreign oil

I don't like SUVs when people drive them in the city because they are gas guzzling, polluting, expensive cars, either. I also think(as mentioned on here)SUVs are a huge waste of money. They are not safe compared to other cars, unless you drive off roads. They are a menace to smaller cars. They use up so much gas too(also mentioned on here). Plus, there are much better cars to buy than friggin S-U-V-S................ RECOMMENDATION: DON'T GET ONE- DON'T USE ONE AT ALL!!!!!!!!! FOR THE SAKE OF THE ENVIORNMENT!!!!!
