Periods are great, I love getting my period, I still really look forward to using my cup and I love that you get to really think about your body - it makes you feel like a woman, and periods make it possible, without them we would not be here. Periods are great things, thats why they were so highly regarded before someone came along and decided that like women periods much be evil. I think too many girls really don't know about their bodies so they don't know how to deal with their periods, how to prevent period pains etc. and I think too many girls are brainwashed into thinking periods are gross nasty things when they are not. Periods rock, period :o)

It depends
When I get my period, i have light 4 day flows and barely any pms, so i dont really mind them, and i guess sum gurls here like 2 wear pads 4 fun (i dont get that really, but thats good for them). I think periods are a big@$$ pain when u get cramps, moodswings and heavy, irregular flows and i think that ur opinion depends on what ur body does at ur time of da month.

my period is all about Self Love
For me, my period is about self love. It's a time when I can focus on =myself= and pay attention to =my= needs. I usually take a day off of work or class and just spend some time with myself. That's always lots of fun because I'm a nice person to be around. :)
My period is also about rebirth. We all know about "pms". Well, I think the emotional time before my period is a great time to analyse any negative energy in my life, make an action plan for how I'm going to deal with it, and then move forward with a more positive outlook on life. It is important to have a time to deal with this negative stuff, rather than having to supress it.
Loving my period also helps me love other times during cycle. For example, when I'm ovulating, I notice that I am more creative, outgoing, and artistic. It's really quite nice to notice the cycles flowing.

Periods are cool
Periods are natural and an ultimate symbol of womanhood and fertiilty. Being ashamed of such a wonderful albiet annoying thing means you aren't proud of bieng a gurl! HAving your period means you have the power to give life! Embrace your woman hood!

Whether we all know it or not, really the ovulation period is when the woman's body is being cleaned out, plus it's a sure sign that you can give birth. Of course on occasions where you can't seem to control your cramps suck, but to tell you the truth, even though this may sound bad, you can use it as a really good excuse for things. Personally I like to pamper myself when im on the rag, go get a pedicure, take bubble baths, and snuggle up and watch movies. I think it makes female more aware of their body and how it works, Periods ain't so bad. but I must admit, sometimes they make me go ...eek.

It has it's upsides
Well, first of all, people are used to believing that it's terrible, so thats what they think. To me, a period is great! Not only is it a great time to catch up with youself, but it can make for some great excuses. Gym, eating too much chocolate, etc. And guys don't have a clue so when you say "Because I'm on my period" they get flustered and drop theyre reason to judge you.

I dont really know...it's good so you know you're okay as in not pregnant and that other stuff and you can get out of doing some things like swimming in class..
but on the downside...
the cramps, the major mood swings, being on the constant look out so you don't get a little spot and face total humiliation...

Horrible.
Mine is very irregular so it makes me feel like a freak. Plus, whenever someone makes me angry, boys will ask if I'm on my period. Blaming a girl's emotions on PMS is sexist. I think I'm slightly hemophobic, and whenever I go to change myself I get dizzy. Everything about periods makes me sick.

I Hate getting my period,..its gross. and it hurts. how could anyone like that!! thats just crazy!!!I used to think i wanted to start, and when i did it as kinda cool at first. I was excited, but now about 4 years later,,....I HATE IT!!!

periods suck....it is good to know that you have it, and know that your not preg. BUT once you have it, your like...all crampy n shit. i dont think guys fully understand what us women have to go through everymonth, and having to worry about being preg. and stuff....then again, my faince and I DO want a baby...but not right now. im on birth control....BUT if it happens it happens, and we'll def. keep it...we're just not finantially stable enough right now, plus we just want a good 2-3 years of good quality time together fisrt....

They are so stupid, if God wanted us woman to suffer less than boys do, then why the heck should guys be saying" Guys are stronger then girls." Not at all!
If you are wondering why do I "dis" periods; well, it's because of many reasons. Ofcourse, it does mean that you are becoming a women, but I find no reason to have periods in any girl's life. Think about it: you get painful stomach aches, You have to worry about the pads you are wearing, You get cramps, You are not free enough to do what you want to do (even if you are wearing tampons, because you still have to worry about them: and just think about the infections /diseases /whatever), They stink(oh ya, they REALLY stink- bad!), It may stain your clothes sometimes,and finally it MAY get you pregnant-if you have s-e-x with someone. I don't see anything good about periods,even if you are wearing a tampon- it's the same thing. You go through the same problems no matter what. And, not to mention, but you have to stick them up your ....Ok, let me give you an example- I read this at the same site(gurL.com) : [ Written by a girl]: Once I was sitting on my boyfriend's lap and We were watching tv and I got my period. I didn't notice until I got up and saw that my period has stained right throw my pants and my boyfriend's jeans! ..You only tell me, Isn't that just plain gross??!!!

See, Im an early bloomer, I got mines when I was only 10 years old and one of my only freinds that get it, so when I need to leave my classroom to change, I feel so annoyed that No one eles is going threw it but me.

embarassing and painful
if u get it on your jeans, ppl mostly boys will make fun of u because it looks like shit when it dries on yur clothes. It hurts when u get cramps and sumtimes it comes totally different times of the month so u dont know when its coming.bleeding gives me the creeps too.
