Hybrids are immirging everywhere. In 2006 we have gone from 8tracks to mp3s and a whole slew of other new technology. this is just another technological advance that will hopefuly benefit the environment this time.

I would totally buy a hybrid car! It's help save the enviorment. Since gas prices are getting so high our air is so filthy,it think i'd be fantastic! :-)

for the girl who said they dont help uh yeah they do mine gets an average of 45 mph which is A LOT i mean hummers get like 16 mph and they r so just awesome the radio is on this touch screen thing up front and i love me lil hybrid. i mean yeah they r more exspensive but ur saving a ton of money on gas so i think that evens it out

They're not the best now, but after a few years they will be well worth it. They're still pretty new so all the bugs aren't worked out, but they'll be better than anything we've had before. I'm looking forward to a car that gets us off of oil. My car now has really good gas mileage, but anything that gets better is definately in my book. I say we should keep asking for them and they'll have to make them better. I mean anything is better than oil.

I think the idea of the hybrid car is a good one. I just think that everyone needs to keep their heads on over it all. People are getting in a big uproar over whether or not they should be when in reality does it really matter? It's a good idea we should stick with it.

Being from the amazingly environmentalist state that I'm from. I've been heavily influenced by those around me.
Hybrid cars get over 60 miles to the gallon. This means that in this world where gas prices are raising weekly, you're saving money (we all know how much people care about that.)Saving gas for other people. And most importantly helping then environment. We all know we're the ones who have been destroying the environment, so we really should take steps, even if they are small, to save it as well as we can.

Not all they're cracked up to be
Im not sure exactly how this goes, but my parents were explaining to me (both car engineers) how Hybrid cars are NOT any better for the enviornment. The amount of fuel and plastic used to produce the car itself is equal if not even the same as you would use for an average car. THere are better ways to help the enviornment.
