Even though I can't get there as often as I want, the library is practically my second home! Too bad I never usually read everything I check out before it's due back...

I really don't see what's with all the stereotyping... that only "geeks" go into the library. How immature. As many have stated before me, it's a quiet place to read, hang out, and, believe it or not, have fun. Plus, we who hang out at the library learn literacy... and r nt talkin lik tis @ da age of 16. I'm 13, woo-hoo, reading things (such as shakespeare, classic literacy, texts, novels, etc.) made me literate. Yay! I'd much rather be the stereotyped "geek" any day, much more preferably than the magazine reading, illiterate, idiotic, poor grade getting "bimbo." Hell, I even volunteer 2+ hours a week for the past year at my local library, Holgate. -geeky literate person

I love the library!
I love the library. Not just the school one but the public one too. They have free internet and great young adult books. I'm friends with the librarians and they trust my opions on the books that they should order. I love when I pick out a book that ends up to get cheaked out often! My library carry alot of good books,graphic novels and mangas, and if there is somthing that they don't have and you want all you have to do is ask the librarian to loan it from another library. My public library is just like and second home. I go there to read and get my homework done. I like how noisy people get kicked out. I don't like loud people when I'm working, I wish they would kick people out of class for being to loud. Just look at the spelling in all the blogs you can tell who the smart people are, the ones who read! Ps. I'm not a nerd!

I need it for research
My school has a really good library. It has books on ll the subjects taught at the school and even ones that aren't as well as ordinary novels. People need to get over this geek thing and do what is right for there education. whenever i get an essay to write I go to the library and read up on the subject not just go on the internet at home. My library also has magazines and if you go to after school activities you can just go and read a magazine for 15 mins there until the activity starts

i tired of everybody thinkin the libary is for nerds!!! i love the libary, i don't really like the one at my school cuz i basically read all of the books but i LOVE the public one. it a good time to just chill and relax

My Home Away From Home
I go to the library every two weeks and I will pick up anywhere from 5 to 12 books each time (and no doubt about it, I read them ALL) I love being in a quiet area and just reading for an hour or so and the library is just the place!

Aah, I remember all these crazy things my friends and I used to do in the library in 8th grade. One week we took out all these books on drugs and suicide and wrote a play about it all. Although we never finished it. We have such sick senses of humour. The library is FUN!

I'm completely with you on the reading is cool thing kornskwerl.....but you're a hypocrite to talk bad about people who stereotype you because you're a punk who reads. By calling yourself a punk...you're the one stereotyping. Can't people just be people without having labels attached to them?

KNOWLEDGE = POWER
The library = my second home. I seriously love the library. The average recommended books teens should read per year is 25. By March I already read 28 books. Reading increases your knowledge, so why wouldn't you want to read. The library is a great place to spend time reading, going on the internet, getting help with homework or projects. Life is what you make of it. I feel sorry for people who say "yo wud up" or "i dont need dat shiz." I feel like there aren't going to want to become an educated person in our society. In the words of my friend Anna Quinn, "Our society is going down the drain." KNOWLEDGE EQUALS POWER. AND EDUCATION IS THE GREAT EQUALIZER. Education is our only opportunity to make it in this capitolist society, and if you snooze you loose.

dont get me wrong i like the library because you can get on comeputer and met your friends there and other stuff like that it just to queit and there no talking or anything beside comeputer and books and i dont like reading bookes because there nothing that in not into....

I never go to my school library. Don't get me wrong, i <3 reading, but all the books there retarded. there is absolutly no time to just randomly go in. the only time i go in is for tutorials after school on wednesdays and tuesdays.

The Library
I like the library and all but what I don't like is getting crappy torn up books. And they hardly ever have new releases and when they do they're all checked out. Their manga titles are limited as well. I prefer to own my books

I think librarys are good for studying and things like that but me and my friends always get into trouble and get kicked out so rite now I am not aloud in there.
