Feminism = Good, Feminists = Bad
Feminism is very good, equality of the sexes is VERy important and there are many many cases where men and women are not equals. However, many feminists are very very sexist towards men, our society is largely anti-men and a lot of feminists do not care - if you are a woman who supports men's issues then you are not welcom within feminism, I find that VERY sad, and it keeps us all from equality.

I must be slow, because I dissed it by accident.
How can you dis FEMINISM on GURL.com? Feminism isn't all bra-burning and hairy armpits. It's about fighting for what you believe in. Not all feminists are stupid. I'm not gonna tell a guy, "hey, slam the door on my foot will ya? I can open it myself". That's just dumb. However, if a guy is getting more than I am, for the SAME job, or if he's rude and sexist, damned right the feminist in me will pop the hell out.

Girl Power!
Frankly, I don't see why people are all saying guys can do more than we can. I personally would love to know why we are not considered the superior one. I mean, we are the ones that can CREATE babies in our bodies (of course we still need the sperm but the guys job is about done there). We can give birth. We mature faster. We are more logical. We aren't completely clueless when someone shoves their boobs on our faces. So, why aren't we considered the efficient ones? I don't think it would be right that way anyway. We are all equals. Men and women can do anything, no matter what.

ok ok, maybe its not too right to said that we are better than them, cause ...in some cases that doesn't apply, but, we are extraordinarily good making a lot of things, and maybe its not that we want to say that we are better, but fight for our rights. Be equal. and...by the way, if a girl thinks that we are less, so, why are we fighting for??? we are not stupid, and we make mistakes just like them!!! so plis, do not said that they are better...

Feminism is simply the belief that women and men should have equal rights and opportunities. All the stereotypes about man-hating crazies are just that: stereotypes. Yes, there are women like that--they're called "feminazis." But real feminists believe that men and women are equal, and that gender doesn't predecide anything about a person but their private bits. Real feminists acknowledge that sexism goes both ways. Real feminists, be they male or female (because GUYS CAN BE FEMINISTS TOO!) simply work to gain equality between the sexes. What more would any sane person ask for?

it's all about having equal opportunities and enjoying being a female, and there is nothing wrong with that. live it up ladies. listen to 'le tigre' a great feminist band, they're wonderful, and fabulous. Good AND bad.
I think feminism is silly. To an extent. I find, personally, that many feminists aren't out for equality, they are out for superiority. I don't care what it was like one hundred years ago. What happened, happened. Nothing can change that. I mean. Obviously I don't wish to be treated as a lesser individual because I'm a woman. But I can't say I mind getting the door held for me. If you're looking for superiority, you won't find the traditional gentleman. I'll hold the door for a man. It's just an act of curtesy. My point is, aim for equality. And remember, even then, you have to take the good AND the bad.

feminism is good to an extent, but women are taking it to the extreme. loosen up. we can do just as much as men can. the only difference between us and guys is that we have boobs and can have babies and we wear make up. thats it.

It's no longer about equality.
Face it, we're just about equal now. Not 100% equal, but the reality is that we never will be. One is always treated better than the other, no matter what. Anyway, feminists bother me. You push and push and push for equality, but throw a fit saying your rights are being stomped on when told that if they reinstill the draft, women will be drafted as well. Stop contradicting yourselves.

i think you need to slow down and just remember how far womens rights have come in the past years before getting all riled up about the injustices you think women are faced with. i think it is important that we not mix feminist with womens rights activists. most of us on this site are probly from developed countries and if you are going to even think about bitching and complaing about the circumstances where you are, read the newspaper and look at how it is for women in other countries. as far as i can concerned we should be concentrating on women less fortunate then us.

Not how it is now
I am for equal rights and everything, but I would never call myself a feminist. Most feminists I know belief women should have all the same rights as men, but shouldn't be drafted! I'm sorry, but if women want equal rights, you have to accept the bad, too. I also know feminists who think a girl hitting her boyfriend is hilarious, but if a boy hits his girlfriend, it's terrible.
