i love it!
it's not too hard, and it's a great way to make something special for a friend... or a sweetie.

boo-yah!
i like to knit things that you wouldn't normally think of knitting... like sushi rolls and devil horns!!
--Posted by martinamartina

I like it...it calms me and I like being able to make things for my friends and family. I'm not very crafty or artistic, but I can knit!

It's fun!
I don't knit much, but it give your hands something to do. I enjoy it. BTW: Scarves...gloves...you don't have to look like you knited your whole outfit, dissers. Last I checked, scarves are "2007". *rolls eyes*

ok, first off, knits in accessories are 100% in. no one wears like all knit stuff we do some stuff. secondly, knitting can be animal friendly. there are like thousands of yarn that are available, i use cotton. they make nylon, arcrilyc, poly blends linnen, those cool eyelash yarns? ya, no animals. so don't make that an excuse to stop :) and some yarns are 100% animal friendly.

It's Calming and Relaxing
I'm guessing most of the gals on the "Dis it" side have either (a) never tried to knit, or (b) have at least tried but gave up and have hated it ever since. Knitting for me is calming and relaxing after a LONG day at school. And I don't have to focus on the knitting while I'm doing it (that is, if I'm doing a simple pattern, like for a scarf). I can let my mind wander or I can watch TV or listen to my music while I knit. Knitting time for me is a chance to just sit for a while and go over the day's events. Some people have yoga for this, I have my knitting.

making own clothes..
I have tried it before and its cool. But I really know how to crochet. Knitting is cool, but it takes alot more time than crocheting..

IDK
So, i'm not so sure about knitting, but perconally i love to croqhet. i don't make like dorky sweaters though... i'm more into like hats and scarfs and wintery clothes like that. in fact i made a hat for my whole basketball team with our school colors that we wear to all of our away games since it is so cold here in colorado. ne ways.. take care... godbless

I'm learning
my good friend is currently teaching me. everyone says it's a fashion disgrace or its for old grandma's with no life.....so not true. Stereotyping an activity is like saying a curvy girl puts out or a skinny girl is ano. Sometimes u gotta look past the stereotypes! I like it, so far i've made a hotpink and orange scarf for a sick friend and im currently making a lime green and blue hand warmer for a friend. ( plus my friend teaching me can do the coolest thing with needles, she has the appearance of a preppy rockstar!)

Cool for my Grandma
Sewing your cloths your self can be cool but knitting is seriously boreing, time comsumeing and the cloths are just ugly.
--Posted by courtanylove

Gay
Can you say boring and so out of style.Knitting is for grandma's that sit in there house 27/7 without a live. For teenages its just gay.Teen actually wear the stuff. Its a disgrace to 2007.Come on people.

i did knit before but then i read this random article of how they would get the wool off the sheep so speedily it would leave them with cuts etc so now i try to avoid wool and stuff. Plus its soo hard to knit in a straigh line!! All my attempts at scarves turned into useless triangles of fabric. Haha and one deformed neck warmer. Sigh.

FUN....for a senor citizen. We are young we need to do young things leave knitting for when we can't get up for because are back hurts."Leave the old to the old, and the young to the young." thats what my grandma says. So leave the old stuff "knitting" to the old until you get there and have your youthful fun. You have time to "knit" later on. But I do like the things my grandma knits for me. Don't get me wrong.
