Roses to me symbolizes romance
when i think of roses i think about romance and love..its just the color and shape and smell of a rose that just makes your head spin. The color red represents passion.fire..love..and that all comes to mind when iam givin a rose from my sweetie.

roses gotta love them for my 15th birthday last weekend my boyfriend got me a dozen of pink roses and my mom and him came to my volleyball game to pick me up and when he handed me them i started crying i love them and him

My fave roses are yellow and white. they are really elegant. They kinda also say 'this beauty is tough too' because of the thorns and then the soft petals.

i think there are much better smelling flowers than roses, yes they symbolize love but they are way too commercial and absolutly no thought behind them...my b/f once gave me a bunch or handpicked wildflowers, they were beautiful, tied with a purple ribbon...I love guys who don't just go to the store and stand in line behind all the other guys to buy me roses...

I'm not a materialistic person. I'd rather a guy show his love for me through being loyalty, and trying to help me through my depression, than the "romantic" things he does, buys, or says. Roses are beautiful, though. I'd like a guy to pick me one, if we were walking near roses or other flowers. It's something I know my boyfriend would do, to make me smile.

Over-rated
I personally think roses are over-rated. Yes, I DO think they're pretty etc. but not everyone has to like them...That's all I'm saying, over-rated.

i think daises have a more classical look.
Roses are kind of outdated and less popular now.
i like a flower with unique shape and color that isnt so common. thnx!

Pretty but...
I think roses are quite pretty. Unfortunately, I can't get near them or I start sneezing like crazy when I'm within a few feet of them. Therefore, I perfer daises or lilies (I'm not allergic to them). Still, I like getting flowers anyway, no matter the type. I just simply can't enjoy roses.

why do people like that dreadful smelling flower. I know its all romantic but pleeez dont put it up to my nose.but they look good.personally their used in every occasion. its like "honey what flowers should we"- ROSES! or "what flowers should i get for valentine's"-ROSES!!ROSES ,ROSES, ROSES, ROSES!!!!why cant you choose orchids, or dandelions, or blossoms? there are other flowers u know, besides a rose dammit.

I'd have to say red roses are the worst for being the most romantically-related flower out there. I'd rather have a peach rose, which actually conveys desire! Although really, different flowers would be better. Or even just a bouquet of a bunch of greenery would be startling.
