Summer Jobs
Summer Jobs are great. It gives you some extra cash to buy what you want. So if you see those pair of shoes that you must have, or that computer game you've always wanted you can buy them.
Plus the summer is long and at points gets a little boring. A summer job will give you something to do for those days your not at the beach, or out to the trailer.

As long as I get a decent amount of free time, I'll do it. I like earning my own money, it makes me feel independent. Not everyone has parents who spoil them, besides, at 17 having mommy and daddy pay for everything seems rather childish.

yeah summer jobs are fun but summer jobs for me are like walking dogs babysitting.They are fun because the bills you get you can spend it in the mall or cute bikinis for the summer.

Get a Pina Colada and lay in a lounge chair in the hot sun and RELAX!! Don't get me wrong like a lot of people I do have to work during the summer time too...but you know when you get a chance or a day off chill out and enjoy the summer time and the hot sun!

i guess i would but still itd be easier to take a job on weekend sor after school cuz summers my hang time...ya kno? but its depends..if its a job i enjoy or if its outside, like walking dogs, then i really wouldn't mind

I would never get a summer job. Ever. The summer is soposed to be your time to yourself to have fun, and go to the beach, or wherever you want. Who wants to make plans around your job? I don't have a regular job either, and I'll be 17 soon. My parents don't want me working, i'm young, and should be having fun, if i need money for gas, i'll get it from them, car payments... they pay them, a job would ruin all the fun.

I for one have a summer job and it SUCKS!I work at a gas station :( The one thing I hate more than having to work are kids whose parents pay for ANYTHING they want! But hey, its cool, me and my fellow under-age coworkers figure we can just burn the place down sooner or later.

Summer jobs are so annoying, I mean if you need the money badly to like go somewhere else or visit someone then thats just fine but if you don't need the job, your parent will pay for anything that you want (take me for example) and your very much spoiled then why get a job? Money is good but the summer is for going to the beach, getting tan, traveling around with friends and family, hanging out. Summer is not meant to be for taking orders from a boss, the summer is meant to take a brake from taking orders all school year and having fun!!!
