It's just another form of human expression. I personally find beauty pageants a source of mild amusement/morbid titilation/absolute disinterest, but those who object in such strong terms need to remember that no one is *forced* to compete.

I love doing beauty pargents they are fun and yes most of the time you have to hott and yes sorry you dumb a$$ ppl ho think they aint smart cuz umm they are but totally they are fun and like you learn so much from them like self respect like alot of girls on here DONT have also teaches you how to eenteract with other that you tought you woulld never bee friends with but i love them and you ppl dising one them dont dis until you try it for your self and see howmuch fun they are

Pageants Rock
I love entering pageants.I hate it when people say that pageant girls are airheads because they don't know what they're talking about (I have a 4.0!!) We actually work really hard to get what we want. I also hate it when people are like "beauty pageants shouldn't be judged on how you look"....that's why it's called a BEAUTY PAGEANT! It's like if you go to school and expect a teacher to give you good grades when ur stupid. If you want to enter a pageant based on personality and brains, there are PLENTY of them out there, you just have to look for them. (Don't you girls agree with me ??) Plus not all pageant girls are blonde and want world peace....I'm brunette !!! Wish me luck for my next pageant !

i think beauty pagents r a totally fun activity that shows all men and even womean how sexxi and talented a women can b. This is the one thing i guy can hardly do . i think beauty pagents should just b 4 women cuz men do to much and i think it is a waste of time 2 have men do it !!!! note 2 men :leave the beauty to the women men cuz u know we r betta then u !!!

I like beauty pagents...like the one here in my town every labor day...i'm mean there are judges and not people voting so you know its fair..like last labor day one of our judges was Miss Marylan or Va or something like that....my friend always enters and she said she's met alot of friends and shes has more confidence and stuff....and i think people who say its only for like pretty people or the only people that enter are stuck up but their just stero-typing....i mean not every peagent is like the one where you live or in some movie.

Beuty pagents are for people that don't have anything else worth recognizing except "so called beauty." Overall I love watching the Miss Teen, Miss USA, and Miss World pagents. The girls in the Miss Teen pagents look like natural beauties and are smart (well only the people that win). The small beauty pagents that aren't shown on T.V. are stupid. they are for people who think they are beautiful. Anyway Miss Teen, Miss USA, and Miss World pagents aren't only based on looks. Beauty paggents are mostly based on looks the only thing they do is model in swimsuits and dresses. That's stupid! Any most of the girls in beuty pagents seem shallow and superficial, FAKE!

I dont know I read an article about them once and they seem really shallow and dangerous (swishing dangerous chemicals in ur mouth to make them whiter, getting loads of surgeries to look better, starve yourself.) In like, 10 years their figures will be GONE

A lot of people in pageants are self centered little brats...some arent tho..so whatever floats your boat. Also a lot of parents get too involved when they put their kids in pageants when they are young and expect their kids to want to participate in pageants for life. Sometimes when kids lose they feel like they let their parents down or something. So don't get too involved and dont get too caught up in yourself and youll do fine!
