I was supposed to watch them but I didn't. I fell asleep bcuz I stayed up all Saturday night, reading. OOPS! I'm sure my BFF will fill me in though.

better this yr
the oscars were actually better this yr. i love ellen, she's so funny, and its really nice to see more african american actors/actress get these awards and show hollywood they can do more the "ghetto" roles ")

I thought the oscars were banging this year... and Ellen Degenres jus made it even better being the funny person she is...Im glad how the winners turned out and im really happy about Jennifer Hudson winning because she didd really good on dreamgurls...even though I wanted Will Smith to win Best ACtor im still happy for Forest Whitaker

It had many unexpected surprises! And Ellen was hiliarous the singing acts were great. And that thing with the comedian's was funny. The winners was good as well. It was a pretty great night.

More than acting
The Oscars also give awards to the people on the movie that arent shown on the screen. Most of the movies that are nominated are very controversial and knowledgeable, they are more than public entertainment. The Oscars give these movies a chance to shine.

Ellen= amazing!
I love Ellen, she is absolutely AMAZING. I've been to her show once and I loved it. I'm going back next year. But I am so happy for her because she finally lived her dream. She has gone through so much, and like she said, nothing can get any better for her!

not what i expected... last year was better.
First off, it was wayyy to long and some of the people got cheated from their awards. In my opinion... It really sucked. The only thing that I enjoyed was when Jennifer Hudson and Forest Whitaker won there awards.

Ehh.....
I didn't watch them, because it's just another awards show for Hollywood, but I do watch Oscar nominated movies, if I haven't seen them yet, or the winners, so I know what's good. But watching them is way too boring.

I luv Ellen to death and all the ethnicities winning but I think the celebrating the nominees crap was definitely fake and the performances some of them were really stupid( sound effects choir anyone?)
