i love those black and white love movies, they make things so much more romantic and just vintage.

They're great!
I love black and white movies-especially comedies. They are so much more original and tasteful than a lot of the movies you see today. And the actors seem more genuine in their roles. I also love the environment they are all in. Everything is so glamorous and watching them makes you wish you were around then.

being a film major, i could write term papers on why black and white films are amazing (and probably will have to in the next couple years), but i'll keep it short...for those who say that directors can do so much more with lighting and such with 'technicolor' (:-P) films...watch early Hitchcock...or Citizen Kane...
in some ways, films were simpler then...but in many ways they were much more complex. plus, we will never again have the amazing movie stars that graced the screen back in the 40's and such...brad pitt and angelina jolie may be hot and talented...but they are no spencer tracy and katherine hepburn!

How can you not love them.
Black and white movies to me are the most romantic. I really can't explain why but it sort of gives the movie a whole other character. The oldfashioned kind of love in these movies are very hard to find in movies today..so i think we should be almost grateful that we have them to watch:)

I love movies with great colors. But Black and white is cool on so many levels. From a filmakers standpoint there are so many things you can do creativly, just like with color movies. It's all awesome.

i like it becuase my mother used to watch black and white tv cuz it was all she had. its different cuz im used to seeing color all the time! and they are juicy, full of drama and romance!

most black and white movies i watch are old movies from the 50's,that have actresses getting those big hollywood kisses..
so when i think of black and whit movies, i think of hollywood glamour.

If I had to choose between watching a movie on a nice friday night, I would choose a movie in color, because I am a spoiled person. I like color; I think as artists, directors and producers can express quite a lot through different colors, shades and lights.
