I LOVED it. I hate it that Achilles had to die though because he was the greatest fighter ever! I seriously HATED Orlando Bloom in this movie because he killed Brad, but hey crap happens. Great movie, great plot, romance, violence, blood, gore, heads getting chopped off, dead bodies getting drug. What more could a girl ask for?

Not the Iliad, but great.
I'm a lover of anything greek, so seeing this was great. Although it wasn't EXACTLY following the book, which is why they should've named it, '163 Minutes of Brad Pitt Almost Naked'. It had great battle scenes, which were fantastic.

seeing brad and eric in skirts and be sweaty and fighting made me want to be apart of that so bad. i didn't like orlando bloom his character was kinda girly, but from that really good

Jumped on the bandwagon of time-period costume-style Lord of the Rings-induced movies. I am not a fan of Brad Pitt (not a v. good actor, and, despite objections, certainly not good-looking). However, the movie was worth watching because of Bloom.

glorification of brad pitt
this movie was strictly the glorification of brad pitt. you can tell the producers relied on him to make this a good movie. it wasn't though at all. i saw a tv version of a smiliar story involving greek gods and characters and it was so much better!! this movie lacked the depth and meaning that these stories were made to have. also, as far as brad pitt's acting is concerned, he didn't even have the right accent. this doesn't mean i didn't enjoy seeing his awesome bod but come on i don't wanna see him having like a foursome...gross.. this movie was way too long and had no plot i give it a DIS!

Ugh! Nothing like "The Iliad"
First off this is not a historical movie, it's a very inaccurate movie. Second, Patrokolas was NOT Achilles' cousin, HE WAS HIS LOVER! GET THAT THROUGH YOUR HEAD! THEY SCREWED EACH OTHER! A LOT!!! Brisis did not have a big part in the book at all, she had one line, and she did not kill Agamemnon, this entire movie ruins the future and past of greek mythology. And by the way, Paris and Helen were not inlove, THEY WERE HORNY! Bye!

I liked 'Troy' for the most part....it was a good 'popcorn' movie, it entertained me for the 2 hours and 40 minutes and Eric Bana played Hector (my favorite character) to perfection. The only problem was that I had to put up with all these stupid fangirls squealing anytime brad or orlando went on screen...first off, Paris was not the most important part of the movie, he was a worthless coward. Also, Achilles' part was bulked up way too much...he wasn't the center of the freakin' war! Yet, as a faithful fan of the Iliad, I had to put up with "OMG! I'm sooooo glad Brad killed Orli's brother...he was such a meanie to Orli!" "Yeah...he yelled at Orli because he was in luffles with the blonde." I started twitching. If my friends hadn't held me back, I would of beaten thos girls so bad. They nearly ruined the movie for me.

Not as good as i thought
the movie was ok. i've seen worse but i've definently seen better. it may be better the second time (some movies are like that). i'm willing to give it a second chance. but i was dissapointed in orlando's performance. actually i was dissapointed in his character, but he's still hot. i liked hector though, he was cool.

I watched it on the weekend and it was sooo long. I hate action movies and if you dont have any idea about the myth then its pointless to watch because you won't understand it.

Well I haven't seen it so I know I can't say much,but I really hate those kinda movies,ya know w/ the violence,drama,ect..It's just really *boring* to me.I stick to comedies(sometimes horror lol:).
