Well, i think it really depends on the movie. Some movies don't need a sequel, and some are awesome.

YEAH!!
I like sequels. They give you something to look forward to. My fave is Harry Potter 4. really violent but VERY good action an acting. Kept me on the edge of my seat THE WHOLE TIME.

I love sequels!
I love sequels a lot because they show you what happened after the first movie ended. There is no end in real life to anything...so why should there be an end to a movie's plot? Remind me again?

It depends...
I don't have a problem with the idea of sequels. Sometimes you need to continue a story. In the case of the original three Star Wars movies, I thought Empire Strikes Back was better than the first one. And I thought Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban was waaaay better than the first two movies. The only thing I don't like about sequels is that a lot of them tend to suck. And sometimes they ruin the original movie for you, like in the case of Legally Blonde. (I still like that movie, but not as much due to the shitty sequel.)

A lot of them are crap, but some are really good! Besides, it gives the diehard fans some more fodder, even if it's not as good as the first.

sequels are good....sometimes. a sequel that made me mad was the sadlot. that movie is amazing, and they messed it up with a sequel. the sequel sucked and i wish i never watched it

sequels usually suck, ie Dirty Dancing Havana Nights, Miss Congeniality 2, and the godfather of all bad sequels George of the Jungle 2. but then there are like the Lord of the Ring movies, (whch ive never seen but ive heard their good) and of course pirates 2 which im not sure if its good yet, i need to see pirates 3 to find out so it depends on the sequel.

Define "sequel"
I like movies [and books] that were intended to have multiple parts-- Lord of the Rings [and His Dark Materials for books] for example. The whole thing is very together and pleasing to watch or read, although usually one could stand alone though not as strongly as with the others in the group. But when one movie is a success, and somebody goes, "Hey! Let's make a cheap sequel that we never even planned!" and they churn out cheap sequel/prequels (thing Star Wars Episode 1-3 or all the poorly animated Disney Princess movies) then I just have to diss it. And unfortunately, the latter is far more common than the planned former. However, I am hoping that Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest and the one to come after are equally good; I've heard that three /was/ the unvoiced plan, and the next two are coming out together, not just after the first one is a success...

cmon ppl! everyone knows basically every single sequel is no where near as good as the original!!!! the plot is no where near as good, just because the 1st movie made a bomb, doesnt mean their crappy sequels will make anything near as much! to be fair some sequels are good but most are rubbish

Sucks 95% + 5% Of WHAT THE HELL?
The sequels are just a waist of my time and money. The only reason the company makes sequels is to make more money off the movie by not having to write what has already happen into the script. It destroys the movie and comfuses me.

I personally am not the biggest fan of sequels.Shrek 2 was one of the good movies to come out with sequels but movies like LiON king should've just been left with the first one,they just keep getting worse

Well, most of them suck. Think about all the disney movies they are making now! Jus t for money. Lion King 1 1/2? Please! If a movie is palnned to be a sequel (like the Matrix, XMen, LOTR and POTC) then I'm OK, with it. Other then that... :(

i heard someone say before that all sequels SUCK. but i have seen some pretty good sequels. but there.s just some movies that i HATED as a sequel. for instance MIB 2. that dissapointed me a lot. lol

I think sequels are just an excuse to make more $$$ off an idea that struck gold. That's why most decent movies don't have sequels...they are honest are just about entertainment.
