a psa about drugs from ijane inc., copyright 2003.
Anti-drug ads seem to employ either an upbeat positivity ("Ballet: the anti-drug.") or scare tactics ("IF YOU SMOKE POT YOU WILL BE RAPED OR RUN OVER A GIRL ON A BIKE.") to turn teens off of using, with mixed results. In this psa, "Sex and the City"'s Sarah Jessica Parker muses on what leads people to drugs (anxiety? lack of confidence?) and doesn't preach about what the viewer should do. "Face your problems. ... It's your choice." she says. But is its message any more effective? Does it hit you differently than other anti-drug psa's you've seen?
