is this psa about alcohol abuse effective?

a psa from ijane inc. about alcohol abuse, copyright 2003.

While drug use is often portrayed with deadly seriousness in the media, drinking is often winked at with a kind of "kids will be kids" lightness. But alcohol abuse is a major problem among teens today and it can be a slipperly slope from partying hard to becoming addicted to alcohol. This ad, about a girl who's "let [herself] get out of hand again," tells the viewer that "You may not know this, but the urge to keep drinking is the first sign of an addiction." Have you heard this message before? Do you know girls like the one in the ad?

    Good.
I liked it. It wasn't crazy depressing, it made a point that you had to save yourself, and it didn't make anyone feel guilty.

    very good.
This psa gets the point across. It gets the point across without hurting anyone, or discriminating anyone.

    Great job.
Unlike the anorexia one, this one is quite effective. It showed the seriousness of the issue, and how it sucks you in. I liked it.

i really liked the symbolism in this one it was pretty good. and nicoles raspy tone made me believe that she knew exactly what she is talking about for some strange reason. i would however like to see some less common psa's on here not the subjects that get covered way too often (ie. eating disorders, drug abuse) instead i would like to see something about landmines and starvation in war torn countries because sometimes we as north americans can be way to inwardly focused. we also need to help others no matter where they live or what their race is.

    Ok I guess
this is better than some and it was done well but...I don't know...it does show how it can get out of hand but it's not as easy to stop as they make it sound...

    It's Your Choice after all.
I really liked it because it shows you the seriousness of the issue. And at the end it tells you that "it's your chioce"....and I think thats a good message. Like what happens to a person when it comes to addiction is because of choices that person has made. If a person were to "just say no" then it could prevent a lot of things.
